Need to know, who is this on the LFC bench vs Crystal Palace shooting daggers at Brenda (I.E. thinking the same as the rest of us: WTF are you playing at, you clueless twunt?)

Borini probably has had the most publicity here because he's playing in the Prem. We have a young attacking midfielder called Suso who is playing for Almeria in Spain. We have a 21 year-old defender called Illori at Granada in Spain who has impressed since making his debut in February. Assaidi has been at Stoke, and Andre Wisdom is a young right back at Derby.

Hes garbage, id rather have Norman Wisdom,

I'm glad that we can agree. Although perhaps you should see a medical professional for your compulsive use of rhetorical questions.

Rodgers has shown that he has an excellent eye in the transfer market. I've covered this in past posts in detail. Some on here throw their hands up and go running for the hills in a fit at the mere mention of it. Sturridge and Coutinho have been amazing value. And the more important thing to look at are the transfer targets that we came close to signing but missed out on due to a lack of CL. They are Diego Costa, Mkhitaryan, Willian, Salah and Konoplyanka. They have all been great. I think you should be worried.
I have no doubt that Liverpool will go far next season, but to say Rodgers has done well in the transfer market is just a bit stupid, Neither has Martinez though. His only good signings are countinho and Sturridge, which have both been excellent, but he's also managed to throw away about £60m over the last two seasons on bang average players

Can't knock Rodger's signings (apart from Aspas) in the final third and with the targets he missed out on and how good they've gone on to be its clear he has an eye for it.

Flanagan aside you probably need a whole new back four if you are to challenge again and I'm not sure Rodgers knows what he's doing there, even if he does think its easy to play a defence game.
You raise a valid point. It has obviously cost us dearly. We will see.

It's really not. As I said, look at the targets too.

You don't think Martinez has done well to bring in the players he has, including the loans? He clearly has. You wouldn't be in 5th without them.

So a team that are in need of defender's are signing a winger an area they are well stocked in

#Rodgers is a football genius

Defenders are needed so the self proclaimed saviour of football, goes for attackers.

What I don't get, is that the RS dominated media have been ramming it down everyone's throats that Rodgers is 'a remarkable coach that has improved players beyond anyone's wildest dreams'. Yet his defenders are found wanting, and may cost them the league. Surely, if he is that good then Crystanbul wouldn't have happened, and they wouldn't have conceded 46 league goals this season, as their defenders must surely have improved under the tutelage of the best manager that has ever existed since Shankly.

Look at the targets is possibly the worst argument I've heard. Does that mean Moyes was a brilliant manager at United because he targetted Fabregas, Kroos?
Loan signings from Martinez were good but the only successful permanent signing was McCarthy.

LFC will have their 2 most important players, Gerrard and Suarez, on World Cup duty. Which, as Lampard said, 'takes its toll and fatigue' will set in particularly around November. Add to that Sturridge, Sterling, Henderson and maybe Flanaghan all going will have an affect. I know other teams at the top will have the same problems but LFC have a smaller squad than City, Chelsea, Arsenal and they will have to juggle league and Champions League. They will need to buy big, and particularly in defence.

This season was, and is, their best for a generation to win the league. If they blow it then no amount of bull about we only wanted .......... will survive the first set back next season.

I don't see how presenting evidence that he has identified excellent targets which he has failed to capture is a bad argument for my claim that he is good at identifying targets.

Targets don't mean anything if you don't get them. Would Mark Hughes be an expert in the market if he targetted Messi?

That is fair enough.

The question that I was responding to was from a WUM asking if I am nervous that Rodgers will have 60M to spend in the summer. I was trying to politely say no.

No doubt if World Cup fatigue kicks in we will much less affected than most teams - Howard, Mirallas and the England lads (between 1 & 4) look like the only (non-loan) Evertonians going to Brazil.

Whereas almost the entire first teams of the other top 7 teams in the PL will have a full summer.. and add in Champions League....

Bravo John Bishop: you obviously found your level among the morons and retards who favourited and retweeted this:

Not that it looks much different from your normal appearance....

Interestingly: no follow-up tweets or comments on the performances which followed!

He's about as funny as a spoonful of anthrax in your cornflakes, so it's little wonder he stoops to mocking the disabled to get a laugh.

Disgraceful that.

Look can we leave John 'I'm a scouse, honestly laa' Bishop alone. OK, so he is an insufferable no mark, who pretends he's from Liverpool (even though he's lived all his life in Cheshire, he still claims that his dad bought a house in Liverpool off a mate for £30, yes I know it's ridiculous but that's his story), and makes a very very good living with his pretend scouse accent......
