When you think about it, with two in form strikers, Brendon still won nothing, he could have won the F.A cup or even the league cup.

When he arrived with his 180 page dossier and power point slides, nowhere did "lump it to the quick lads" form part of his 'philosophy' I think he got extremely lucky. The 'committee' was introduced after his summer buys were total toilet and they came up with Sturridge, who despite being a beaut, is a cracking player. He then had a genuine world class striker paired with another great forward. Their success last season was based on the 50+ goals they produced, combined with Gerrards set piece delivery and dozen penalties.

Their defence got worse despite spending £25m on CB's and his other additions have contributed jack [Poor language removed]

The "attack is the best form of defence" way they now play evolved by necessity rather than being studiously devised by him. The pass it to death theorising soon went by the wayside when his defence started to resemble a colander...et voila ! the "lash it long and over the top for the greyhounds" made the Melwood whiteboards and marker pens redundant. However much hes bloated by the exaggerated praise of his methodology by the media, next season, when the treadmill of CL games will have taken their toll and when savvy managers will have got wise to thwarting his glorified kick and rush, Im thinking a different slant will be put on him.

A chancer. Pure and simple. Did nothing at Watford, near relegated Reading and then got the sack, oversaw the final push at Swansea that was put in place by Martinez, had a rubbish first season at Liverpool and served up the most mind numbing football in the PL to boot, then allowed his captain to dictate to him a method of hitting it long to on fire attackers he'd had success with under Benitez.

Without a doubt in my mind this fella is feeding off the reputations of a couple of his current players and is cleverly mind bumming them to push him further down his own road, to make it appear he is better than he actually is. The mind bumming doesn't just stop at the players either, as he has kopites comparing him to their greatest ever manager, despite him winning nothing and has their team playing a style that i personally think is similar to a modified version of 90's Wimbledon.

He is NOT a top manager or one in the making either.
