Pleased with that. It's a pity he's not coming to us, but that's the type of sub-top class striker I'd hoped Liverpool would get to replace Suarez.Bony to Liverpool ffs

he's better than what i was hoping tbh. not sure if he'll fit into the kick and chase philosophy though.

He's very decent (or at least he is based on his second half of last season form...prior to stinking the place out early in the season), but Liverpool just signed Lambert who'll give them that type of physical/aerial presence to go alongside Sturridge. He's a good finisher, but I dont see him creating an awful lot for himself and others.
I'd be delighted if they replaced 'SAS' with Sturridge and Lambert/Bony. The latter are much more of a manageable proposition.
Not sure I'm happy with it tbh.
In a decent side he'll score plenty of goals and he'd give them a physical presence up top
took his time to bed in a new league, but he is a fantastic player and always gets chances. 2 in 3 in the WC as well. he scores against the big guns, something suarez doesn't do.
lambert will only be a backup anyway.
He's defo a step down from the rat, but I was hoping he was going to spunk the cash on the unproven Markovic and Lovren, leaving the only 2 out and out front men as Sturridge and Lambert. Adding a quality PL striker like Bony would give them another strong option.Hmm. It depends what you're objective is. For us he'd have been a great purchase. They, however, have other fish to fry. Sanchez would have been a decent replacement as he finds room and creates for himself, but even he is a step down from the rat. Bony, Lambert and Sturridge wont get the job done for them.
They were never going to leave it at Big Lambo though. Sanchez I'd have been pissed off with. He really is class, so i'm glad he snubbed them. They'll also spend on that defence besides Lovren too. But that's not a bad thing either: a) more players to bed in; b ) a better defence means they'll be playing out more from the back and the speed at which they play will be curtailed a bit. He's defo a step down from the rat, but I was hoping he was going to spunk the cash on the unproven Markovic and Lovren, leaving the only 2 out and out front men as Sturridge and Lambert. That's without doubt and the longer they persevere with lead legs in the centre of the park, then the longer and harder the transition will take. As they have to adapt their play to cover his obvious deficienciesThey were never going to leave it at Big Lambo though. Sanchez I'd have been pissed off with. Liverpool are about to go through a massive change from last season. I'm convinced they'll struggle to get a CL place.
