4 Southampton player and Vorm ffs

Thought they were a massive international super best in the world club, Funny how there scraping around for names and settling for mid table fodder

Sanchez jibbing them off shows there standing in world football

To be honest, I think Liverpool are buying or rumoured to be in for a lot of very decent players who will definitely give their squad more strength. I think they're paying well over the odds for these players, but I suppose that's the nature of the market at the minute.

I think the issue Liverpool have is the style that was such a success for them last season relied heavily (though not exclusively) on the man they've just sold, and no one they're looking at looks to be a like for like replacement. One thing I will give Rodgers is he realised the short-comings of his style of play in the 12/13 season and found a successful way to play last season. He's going to need to change style again this year if he's going to keep Liverpool in the Champions League places (let alone mount any kind of title challenge). I think this season will give us a real indication as to whether he is a top level coach, who can adapt and react well, or whether he's a lucky coach who found a style one year that worked, but as a general rule is limited in what he can achieve with the skills he has.

Lovren,Lambert,Llallana,Can,Vorm,Rodriguez and Ben Davies ffs

Yer bet the Utd,Chelsea,City and Arsenal are bricking it

Rodgers walked into Liverpool with Suarez already there and benefited from the 61 goals he got from him in those two seasons in all competitions (54 in the PL - almost a third of all their league goals in that time). That's been THE major factor in his time as manager regardless of system changes.

He must be shaking like a shitting dog at the prospect of going into a season without his fig leaf in place.

With the exception of Lambert, they are all players that improve their match day squad though.

I agree they're not title winning signings, and I think that's the problem is they've lost a lot from their starting XI without replacing it, but now have more depth. Probably means better cup runs but poorer performances in the matches that matter.

Sunderland 2 - Swansea 0

"It is great for the public here at Sunderland to see us," he said after the game. "They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they have seen. We were wonderful."

That's Rodgers' level mate. He's just had the luckiest season of his life with one of the best goalscorers in the world, and he still cocked it up. An absolute charlatan in my opinion.

If Everton get above them and stay above them until Christmas I predict fireworks.

god how i hope this to be true, replacing suarez with rodriguez would be bliss in heaven. i think the whole article is utter nonsence though, ben davies will be a class act though, so hope that's not true.

i love the little description about markovic about chelsea's interest. chelsea aren't interested in any way, think i read they had a buy out clause but aren't interested in the slightest.

"Hendo" is equally as crap as "Steven/Stevie/Stevie G". That step up to international football was a quantum leap for a simpleton that just likes to run.
It's truly mystifying how Henderson's improvement from shocking to merely below-average has somehow made his £20 million price a bargain.

They bypassed their midfield last season...long passing to three sprinters....always best to bypass Hendo, makes him seem better.
