ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Suarez wont flop at Barc unless his body finished, he built like Superman, never missed a game for the rs unless he was banned. He will do even better with Messi and Neymar where at Liverpool, top clubs would target Suarez and shut him down where at Barca, will be harder to shut him down due to more class players in the team. I've heard that Barca are selling Messi for 140 million to a club.

he was the main guy at liverpool, everything they looked to create, they looked to create solely for him and sturridge. barca will be looking to create goals for any of those front three as well as the midfield.

works both ways.

he's never done it in the big games and not at the big moments. 0 goals in 7 games last season against the best 3 teams he played.

he'll get desperate and start cheating and diving to win pens when his talent can't do it, it's what he's always done in his career. he has very little experience of playing in CL and never played at a club anywhere near as demanding as barca.

lets just say when the big games come around vs real etc i won't be surprised if he does nothing.

Don't agree with this.

He's scored in World Cups, Copa America finals, against us!!

He hasn't scored in big games for Liverpool, because Liverpool haven't played many big games.

0 in 7 vs the top 3 last year. doubt it was any better the year before, i remember a consolation equaliser at chelsea with their season already over. hasn't he played in 2 finals with them and done nothing?

he scored a freebie vs us at wembley, but was annonymous for the game, carroll won that one.

I'm not sure the subhuman will do as well in La Liga. I think they have defenders who'll be better able to contain him by denying him space, and if that fails just neutralise him in areas of the pitch out of danger. I can well see the rat biting again with frustration. Over here was a cakewalk for him and he still did it.

It's a little arbitrary to stop at the top 3 , and he was sensational in the Arsenal 5-1 game and was easily Liverpool's best player when they went to the Etihad. He has also been the only source of danger whenever we've faced them in the last 3 seasons. He's been top scorer at the Copa America.

I think he'll average over a goal a game in Spain.

most of those you have mentioned are against one man - jagielka. he'll find a norwich to pick on in la liga, like he'll find a jagielka, doesn't mean he'll do against teams like bayern and madrid.

the main reason he stood out so much vs england was because of stevie slippard. england finished bottom of their group with a bit of wimper, same amount of points as iran - not quite a great barometer of big team is it - england aren't anywhere close to where they use to be.

all opinions though, we'll just wait and see. i was looking a bit bigger than england's 6th and 7th best teams.

Talk about moving the goal posts. You were going on about him not scoring big goals. Fairly sure scoring in the World Cup is a big goal at a big moment, as is scoring a load of goals against your derby rivals, and scoring against your other biggest rivals in United.

If he does fail, that will be why. Suarez was top dog at Ajax, top dog at the Unmentionables and top dog for Uruguay. He will be at best third dog at Barcelona. Ibra couldnt handle a similar situation and Villa only sort of did, and they are better players than him.

ha, give over. two people can have varying opinion of what constitutes big games. i was talking specifically about his record vs the top 3 and you bring us, spurs and united into the equation, not moving the posts?

To be honest, I think with Neymar, Surez and Messi they now have far and away the best front line in world football.
Backed up by Xavi and Iniesta the ultimate playmakers, they are one scary prospect.

I hope they play Liverpool and win 6 or 7-0 and BT make it their feature ad next season.

I thought they were off to the MLS and somewhere in the desert.
