I think he scored or directly assisted 45-50 goals or something ridiculous. Always helps when you've got someone like that as it reduces the need for the kind of tactical prowess shown by Martinez, for example, countless times when we needed a goal and he ended up making a crucial change to get it.
I'm not convinced on Rodgers at all. Far from it. This year will be more of a test for him, now Kenny's gift to him has left.

I disagree, if he was a great manager he would have won that league, he was shown up to be tactically inept and relatively inexperienced by mourinho, arguably a great manager himself.
Why didn't Mourinho win the league then?
Yeah of course but I really don't think there's too much to laugh at them football wise at the moment. Them missing out on the league was brilliant but then at the same time it's crushing that they were in with a real chance. There's plenty of other stuff to laugh about with them, just think trying to mock them over football right now is a bit of a losing battle

He didn't have a striker worth a damn, and still came fairly close while reaching the CL semi final.
My point is it was harder for Liverpool to have lost that title than to have won it....A great manager in that position would never have let it slip (excuse the pun) with only a couple of games to go.... It was tactics, inexperience but mostly ego which lost him the title.
