I think they're on course to do a Spurs this year.

With the extra games, no Suarez and the weight of further expectation, no way will they finish even 2nd.

I think that's their dilemma though: players in that bracket want to play for clubs nailed on to win either their domestic league in Spain, Germany, England (maybe Italy at a push) or go all the way in the CL.

No player of that calibre is going to commit to Liverpool, so they've gone for a lot of players under that level.

At least Spurs bought Eriksen who is genuine class. I honestly dont know how he ended up at WHL. He'll end up playing in one of the power house European clubs before much longer.
