Let's no kid ourselves until city scored against them they were the better team. Lets only hope their defensive frailties are worse than ours and we knick a jammy 1-0 win at Klanfield, Eto'o 90th minute header.

Yes, they had a bit more of the ball (52% I think the stat showed) bit they created one good chance. It really was as if Man City basically said 'Have your early burst of energy, we are good enough to cope and then we will turn it on and destroy you'.

It was also a good 10 minutes before they scored when Man City started to get on top.

Whatever you say about last nights game, the most obvious thing was as we all expected, without Suarez they've not got a cutting edge. Sterling and Sturridge will continue to do well for them but their end product is not good enough for a team at the top and it'll become more and more obvious without Suarez.

They've lost the Rat but still have Mighty Red.......

Looks like Brent doesn't he.......

Exactly mate - thing with Liverpool is they're doing a United. Not addressing the problems they have. Papering over cracks buying players they simply dont need.

United should have spent that 60m on a new back line, same goes for Liverpool. Buying an overpriced average centre half from the mighty Southampton to replace an established core member of the 'family'.

In this context Martinez's deals look calculated and forward thinking. Galloway and Byrne long term, Lukaku, Besic. Atsu and Barry for now, perhaps Etoo is the only sticking plaster.

Liverpool and Man U are like the kids who spent a fiver in the sweet shop on too much stuff they didnt want or need and are now feeling sick.
