Is it me or are they in complete meltdown ?
Of course they are. They thought after 25 years in the wilderness they were finally going to reclaim their place at the top of the table, because that's where they belong, only for their beloved captain to fall flat on his arse and bottle the title, their best player and reason for said title challenge to leave in the summer, and for their manager to be found out as a charlatan and a fraud. Meanwhile their rival who is the source of much of their bitterness after one subpar season looks to have picked up where they left off and will be taking their top 4 place, having just brushed them aside and going 10 points ahead. Oh and the 'Kings of Europe' completely embarrassed themselves in that competition also.

I have to admit, if it weren't the kopites it was happening to, it would be pretty tragic and pitiable. Since it is them though it's just supremely enjoyable.

Just looked at the Championship table. Bournemouth are top.

Oh dear.
They're on a great run of form at the moment as well. In some respects you'd rather be playing a West Brom or a Sunderland. Would probably be an easier game but a loss or draw to another PL side would be much less embarrassing.

The things is about Rogers is that he's tactically clueless

it all fell into place for him last year. Two fast paced strikers drawing off defenders at will, one of whom was one of the best players in the world and scoring for fun. Behind them the space opened up for Sterling to get some pace and score, henderson to mop up at the back, and Stevie G to bang in the inevitable penalties. Even so they conceded 50 goals and questions that were asked of the defence.

Then Suarez left and Sturridge showed his hamstrings are made of dry spaghetti. Suddenly the only creative outlet is Sterling, who at just 20, is having heaps of expectation poured on him and is frankly being run into the ground. The worrying thing is Rogers cannot adapt his tactics. Martinez has shown tactical flexibility (vs. Arsenal at home in April, Anfield derby in October, away in Europa). Rogers can't. He showed this when all he needed was a draw at Chelsea. He came out and said they didn't need to change and play a fast paced game against one of the best tacitical and counter-attacking coaches in Europe and they lost and with it their hopes deflated like plastic surgery gone wrong.

Henderson is not as good as Kopites think but even they can see that him shoved out on the wing is helping nobody. lovren was good last year but he played behind Schneiderlin/Wanyama, the best DM pairing in the league and Allen, Lucas and Gerrard in no way can emulate that. I'm still not sure what Joe Allen does. They have 3 players - Coutinho, Lallana and Gerrard - that fit into that luxury CAM delivering forward balls and none of them are getting an opportunity - Lallana for me looks one of their brightest players and he can barely get a game. The squad list shifts around more than my stomach after a dodgy Indian curry

The team today had no tactical shape after the first spell of pressure.. When they went behind all their tactics were give it to Sterling. Balotelli is being used a scapegoat but he is not designed for tricksy ping-pong fast balls that BR wants to play (even if he is playing turgid back and forth) - he's more of a Dzeko type player

He doesn't know what to do and you can see it.

That Warrior/ New Balance deal will be getting renewed for 8 years & the yanks will be gone with the cash cow tied up for themselves, they'll make sure they screw 'em more than kitbag do us when they decide to cut their losses regarding running a footy team & just rake in the shirt money.
