terrible news about gerrard, was enjoying his rapid demise. liverpool will be a lot stronger next season without having to carry him, although they will have to give lambert more opportunities as someone reliable has to tuck away those 20 pens a season. definitely won't go down in any best premier league XI's, especially not because he himself bottled the only premier league chance liverpool have had.

derbies will be easier for us without him refereeing the matches all the time mind.
