Another testimonial for Gerrard? Da fuq?

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-expected-announce-steven-gerrard-5258329

Liverpool are set to announce a special tribute game for captain Steven Gerrard during the upcoming international break.

The club will host the match at Anfield on March 29th, and a host of international stars and former teammates have been invited to take part.

Former teammate and Reds legend Jamie Carragher is even understood to have changed the arrangements for the opening of his new bar in New York so that he can play in the game.

The Liverpool skipper has already had an Anfield testimonial (below) against Olympiacos in 2013, when Joe Allen and heir apparent Jordan Henderson netted the goals in a 2-0 Liverpool win.

Funny that. Gets a massive, unexpected tax bill after "Investing" in a slightly ropey film thing, then arranges a tax free testimonial.

(Are testimonials still tax free? They used to be)

haha thats an official club trip to one of the european aways, ironic after their showing in istanbul
Blew my mind that they'd even consider using their stereotype against us and then use a picture of blues going to a European away, given that they took a pitiful amount to theirs and they won't be taking any planes to European games for a while. They really are gobshytes.

Really? I mean, yeah, a shedload of England caps and a decent career at a top PL side but, WTF, they want to go to the 23 Bar in NYC now? Tells you all you need to know about the fame and fortune of modern day footballers (plus of course nicely overlooks his mess up with the Liverpool bar he (once) had).

How many went?

Clearly hel never walk alone.

* except come June.

We've treated Tony Hibbert better and with more dignity, then they have with their "legend". Sad thing is they don't even see how they have shafted him. Horrible football club.

What do you reckon there is, about 400-500 there? That stadium holds 75k and the attendance for that night was 63k. 5% tickets are offered which let's be sensible and say due to restrictions it holds 70k for Europa. So that's 3,500 what they could have took.

They basically have a wank away support until they get to finals where they like to try and storm the barriears, bunk in or fight with their own to get a ticket.
