ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They're not going to buy from below top 7-8 and maybe one or two of your players at a guess these are the players that would improve their squad on the homegrown quota and lower their squads average age. I can't see us selling to them unless it's a player we no longer want. That leaves Spurs and the RS a bit vulnerable. I can see Barkley and Sterling being priority.

Stones will be the number 1 English priority for any team in the prem. He will be like Ferdinand of Terry, whoever gets him gets s guaranteed homegrown starter for the next decade. City have one good centreback and need English players. Chelsea have to replace Terry. Arsenal have one good centreback. They'll all want him before Barkley in my opinion.

Just to clarify, are dem yanks dose yanks or dese yanks, I cant keep up with those bellwhiffs across the park.

Dem yanks are dese yanks. Dose yanks wouldn't give Rafael any money, dese yanks spent £100M then sacked Kenny then spent £250M and are meeting Bodgers tomorrow.........I'm sure it'll go well........

Not a flashy signing, more of an everready battery signing. He's a high energy CM with a decent range of passing and can be used as a good wingback with quite good crossing ability.

He'll solidify 6th spot and push them up to 5th. For Man United/Arsenal/City he's a squad player, for the rs he's a vital player. So not the player to get them back into the champions league but one to protect their keystone kop defence.

Hope Brenda has got more up his sleeve than Milner and Ings or there may be trouble ahead. Believe me,there'll be no freaking moonlight and love and romance with it just gnashers p45 and more kopite tears.

Couldn't they have saved on wages by pushing Can into CM and getting a better striker than Ings.

The derby will be horrific next season. Hendo Milner and Can v McCarthy Besic and Barry. Not one footballer on show. All grafters. Don't understand the Milner buy though considering there's not even a spot for Can in midfield. Milner is an energetic player, a good one, but how much does he have left in his legs to play that game? Technically he's not great. Would still have him over Barry any day though.

What I've seen of Gabriel in the handful of games he's played suggests we could have 2.

I can't see this happening at all.

Liverpool have told Arsenal that they will only do a deal for want-away winger Raheem Sterling if Theo Walcott and Kieran Gibbs are included, sources have told ESPN FC.

Sterling, 20, is
refusing to sign a new contract at Anfield and is widely expected to leave before his current deal expires in the summer of 2017.

That's ridiculous. Maybe if they're trying to stop Arsenal from buying him then it's slightly more sane but if they're serious then they're more deluded than ever

With Walcott as part of that deal it is, but if they were to say the Ox and Gibbs you could (sadly) see that happening - neither of them are currently first choice with Wenger and they both need to be playing regularly.

I think the Ox is better than Sterling honestly. It would be real of the century if he was included. How do you get in ahead of Ozil and Sanchez though. Even Ramsey is out on the wing and Wilshere can't get in the side. Never mind before you get to the likes of Rosicky, Gnabry, Arteta and Flamini. Their midfield options are ridiculous when you consider we've had Atsu Naismith Mcgeady Etoo and Kone all playing in the flanks for us.

I think he is better than Sterling as well, but as you point out there are too many people ahead of him to develop properly. Of course I would much rather he come here, him playing in a front four with Lukaku, Barkley and Deulofeu would improve the human experience by a great deal.
