I think he is better than Sterling as well, but as you point out there are too many people ahead of him to develop properly. Of course I would much rather he come here, him playing in a front four with Lukaku, Barkley and Deulofeu would improve the human experience by a great deal.

*looks up at screen.........*

Now where has that idea come from? Would be ever so happy me.

With Walcott as part of that deal it is, but if they were to say the Ox and Gibbs you could (sadly) see that happening - neither of them are currently first choice with Wenger and they both need to be playing regularly.

Oh my Jesus H. Christ, how good would that be. Gets hopes up and checks transfer news everyday again, when will I ever learn.

They're not going to buy from below top 7-8 and maybe one or two of your players at a guess these are the players that would improve their squad on the homegrown quota and lower their squads average age. I can't see us selling to them unless it's a player we no longer want. That leaves Spurs and the RS a bit vulnerable. I can see Barkley and Sterling being priority.

LOOOOOOOL. Please be true

TBH I am not sure that all this talk of the gaping hole that will be left when Gerrard leaves is that accurate; this season at least the gaping hole has usually been in the position where Gerrard has been playing.

exactly. all the people saying they "made a mistake not offering him a contract" ... apart from the contract they did actually offer him .... it was all bull. it's been a good few years since he's hooked them out of trouble. suppose he scored a couple of late penalties season before last but he hardly dug them out of a hole. i think he only did it vs AFC wimbledon last season?

First Blatter goes and now this:

Brendan Rodgers set to stay at Liverpool after positive talks with club officials
Brendan Rodgers is set to continue as Liverpool manager after he held positive discussions with the club executive at a meeting in the city centre on Tuesday.

The Northern Irishman’s position was under review following a disappointing season in which Liverpool finished in sixth place on 62 points, 25 behind the champions, Chelsea.
Rodgers met Tom Werner, the chairman, and Fenway Sports Group president, Mike Gordon, for talks and it is understood the manager impressed with plans to markedly improve the team next season. This has led to a firm sense he will remain in place.
Among the players he wishes to recruit to strengthen the squad is Manchester City’s James Milner. However it is understood that the 29-year-old, who would be available on a free transfer, is yet to make any decision regarding his future. Although Milner is a priority signing for Rodgers the deal, if it does happen, may not be finalised in the coming days.

Great day for footy!
