HAHAHAHA!!!!

Couldn't even get him from Villa.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

@davek
They can't afford it. If kopites are expecting a £100 million transfer budget this summer they're in for some serious disappointment.

Brendan's already got his next deflection tactic lined up; he'll not have been backed properly. Knowing that lot he'll succeed in turning the supporters against fsg. He might be a chancer but is a master in the fine art of bullshitting.

Who do you think Captain Fraudo will through under the bus next this season?

KKK could possibly get away with doing that, but not him. If he tried it he would be out on his arse quicker than you can say Klopp.

Most of their money will come from selling Sterling.

I just won the treble with Juve but now I fancy Brenda's aimless ship project, said by Llorente Never.

Bacca wins the Europa league with proper up and coming manager, gets a shot at the champions league but he'll leave all that behind for a chance to not be one of the names in wee Brenda's envelopes......yes I can see that happening

TBH I wouldnt be surprised if Benteke jibbed them off as well, after all "big name English club, in the Europa" is what he thought he was joining when he signed for Villa.

@RafaelH117: According to Marca, Liverpool are offering €22m for Illarramendi. My condolences to the fans if confirmed true.
@RafaelH117: “There’s that guy at Real Madrid that cost a dodgy €40m, suffered and lost his confidence for two seasons, let’s pay €22m for him!”
@RafaelH117: Illarramendi was brilliant, but right now there’s nothing that justifies €22m for him, especially if its a club in Liverpool’s situation.

how do they keep doing that? Torres, Suarez and now Sterlin...lucky buggers. Hoping they don't unearth a diamond with that money, they'll likely waste it in pap squad players...or even better their owners pocket it and invest in grid iron or something.
Keep on meaning to look out for a detailed comparision between Spurs/Liverpool purchases and sales.

Both seem to buy a lot of players and are shopping in similar price bracket/talent pool. Would guess they have roughly equivalent attractions to players - Liverpool have the better "name" but Spurs are in London.

Spurs sold Bale for a lot and if the Sterling deal goes through Liverpool will have sold Torres/suarez/Sterling for high fees but iirc Liverpool are one of the highest net spenders whilst Spurs one of the lowest. Wonder how many times that extra spend has translated to the them being higher than Spurs.

aye, they have a very similar cachet...I think often they've finished above Spurs by a couple of places on average: RS used to regularly qualify for the Champs League, along with Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal...before City's riches these were the same top 4 for about 8 years, bar that 2005 where we managed it.

There was a really good site which tabled net spends for all Prem clubs ever since 1992, but can't seem to find it now. Rodgers does seem to have an odd transfer policy which isn't helping them much...all the better for us, I think we can finish above them next season if our summer is clever.

Maybe a comparison between Dier and Gomez would be worth considering at the end of the season.

Benteke will sign, he will justify it with the "proud history" bla bla, but will sign cos they offer the megamoney and nobody better wants him.
