Ohh FFS I only just realised, they had been in transition for about 6 years now, (another term for 3 projects falling apart, dalglish, hodgson and Rodgers) so here we go again - literally ! Another 5 years of transition.

I seem to recall Fulham not so long ago recruiting a previously successful bespectacled German Manager, Felix Magath. That ended well...

Just try mentioning that to Kopites as they're all suddenly so knowledgeable about German football.
 
just trying to think if there's ever been a German manger who's been successful in our league. Klinsman is the only one that springs to mind though I can't remember exactly how successful he was, perhaps won a cup? Got into Europe?
 

Klopp was good for Dortmund but he's not use to the intensity or competitiveness of this league, I wouldn't lose any sleep with him going there.
Pochetino played a similar style at Southampton and it was boss for 6 months until they all started to burn out then they were blowing out there ass for the remaining months and started dropping down will be exactly the same at the [Poor language removed]
 
I'm sure he'll probably do alright. What I can't abide will be the absolute hysteria from the kopites and the media we'll have to witness after Klopp marshals his 300 million pound squad to one routine home win. 'It's on lads it's still our year, look at der philosophy in action' blah blah. It really is tiring.
 
At least he'll bring some class and sensibility to Anfield, eh?

Always makes me laugh all that religious stuff that surrounds Celtic and Rangers. It's about time they admitted its just tribal and nationalistic now.

Religious my arse. As if even 5/10% go to church other than for weddings and funerals.

I'd love to do a poll of Rangers and Celtic fans and find out how many still don't believe in evolution etc.

We've had a few threads on this over the years, so best to leave Everton and Liverpool out of it in my experience. Neither side has a religious affinity, and both clubs came from a Welsh Methodist church anyway.

Rangers and Celtic can do whatever they want to each other as far as I'm concerned.

I'm pulling rank and insisting that a line be drawn under the football/religion discussion so we can get back to laughing at the reds. Here's me drawing the line;
