ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I think it's probably the best appointment they could have made. Klopp clearly knows his stuff, and personality-wise he's an ideal fit; expect a sharp rise in poetic banners and general wool behaviour at Anfield.

The problem for them is that they're so far behind the leading clubs in terms of player quality that it could be too little, too late.

Actually got the butterflies in my stomach about this now. Been trying, and trying to fend it off, but I'm in.
The managers of this club who have had most success have had an aura around their personality; a trait I see in Klopp. I think something we need over and above a coach is someone who we can all invest in emotionally, someone with a provenance similar to Liverpool managers of old and an appreciation of the person before the machine of football.
The past 12 months seems to have fractured us as a fanbase, and I hope that this appointment not only serves to inspire the players but also us as fans who are a bit battle-weary at the moment.

Honestly, he's so [Poor language removed] good looking.

I loathe them, I really do. The whole Rev Jimmy Jones, Kool Aid-guzzling, cess pit dwelling lot of them.

Will love it when Klopp falls on his face. He is what Rawk would paint as the ideal football manager: continental with a few philosophies associated with him they can say in a foreign language to make them look smart (I still remember when they were all banging on about trequartistas when Rafael was there), an overly emotional person who likes to pull in as many aspects as he can into how he describes a club or their football :religion, class, politics etc. Someone who doesn't sit well with the media but does it in an edgy funny way (which only they find funny) as though he's in on a joke that only the kopites and him know about and the rest of the country doesn't (but like the way Kenny used to come out with a load of paranoid cryptic nonsense that they lived him for but everyone else just cringed at). And last of all he has absolutely no interest in his teams getting on the ball, only pressurising the team that has the ball like s pack of dogs which is basically all Liverpool have done since the prem started anyway.

Who do they turn to if he fails? They've literally indulged themselves with a manager built to their ideal specification. If he's a fool how will all the tactical geniuses on RAWK reconcile that with their infallible kopite logic?

This could be even funnier than anything Brendan gave us.

As said before. No matter how crap they are and seemingly heading for a black hole, they always manage to come out of it smelling of roses. Every single season they manage to get a turd smelling of Lavender. Its not a sure thing of course but the appointment of Klopp is head and shoulders above anything Rodgers could offer.

My fear is that the Klopp name would actually attract decent players to the club. Decent players with genuine pedigree and not players who are 'in the moment'.

"Klopp will be given the final veto on incoming players, but will also be expected to work within the financial structure which seemed eventually to stall Rodgers' progression"

Lol. From the mirror. Financial structure is a euphemism for throwing hundreds of millions at anyone selling a player it seems.
