Why pretend to be a blue ?? I don't understand you people at all. Just be honest.

because their sad sorry lives mean they have nothing else to keep them "entertained". they're so fricking obvious though, within 2 or 3 posts i can spot them a mile off and onto ignore they go, and i'm not exactly sherlock bloody holmes.

Can we just not be arsed about the RS..for any serious Blue "We don't care what the Red [Poor language removed] say " worse than their laugh at Everton thread ..this is in danger of becoming a love in

They will finish 6th.

They will prolly win the League Cup.

Some states in this thread yano.
this thread is what happens when they take neg bombs away from us. It festers and grows.

Not necessarily. CL football might see them attract a few or lots of class players, which is why I stated it could lead to a glut of them.

They couldn't attract them last time they qualified for the champions Lge and now the yanks are cost cutting they'll find it even harder but they're no shoe ins for it anyway.

There results this year in these big games are similar to last year, in fact last year was better considering they did the double over City who they haven't yet played and they still finished 8th. They're at there absolute peak now but the defence still looks bang average, there attack does not even that great considering everyone's fit and in form and they've got a keeper who wouldn't get a game in the Zingari Lge. They're riding there luck right now and there performances are being over stated. The next slip is just around the corner.

Klopp's also a proven loser, his honours list is par for the course managing the second biggest club in Germany against an average Bayern side. Whilst he's tried and tested at losing when it matters.

I didn't really want to bring Koeman in to it but he won more and as for the new resident red saying he's not improved us, he's just highlighting what he doesn't know as our defence is streets ahead of we're we last year. The second best defensive side in the country are sitting comfortably in the race for the top 4 ourselves and his job is still in the teething stages.

There's only 1 way out club is going with our new money and management structure.

I disagree. Klopp had his first full season last time out and got to two finals, even if the PL got away from him. He'll have no Europe this time to sap energy and distract and he has money to spend ALWAYS (FSG wont deny him a big signing in January if it looks like CL football is looking realistic...and a very good player will look at it and gamble that they can join and see CL football next season).

Klopp is consistently a good manager. He's always got his teams competitive and in the shake up for trophies. I'd take him over all other managers in this league barring Wenger, who has been immense in his consistency for two decades. He wont win them the PL this season, and Liverpool will have slumps in form, but I'd be amazed if they weren't in the CL next season.

I was agreeing with everything you said there Dave until you waffled the words about having Wenger over Klopp. That's simply nonsensical guff.

He's a good manager who offers consistency and often pleasing football to the eye, but for me he's lost the killer instinct of success he once had.

Yes he won the FA Cup in 13/14 and 14/15 with the former being a difficult run, but the second was barring Manure being a pretty simple affair.

However, with the squad and funds at his disposal I think he should have arguably competed much more. Yes there's stability but it's stagnant.

Anyway that's all slightly off topic but as I've mentioned before I agree with you about Klopp... he'll lead them towards being regularly competitive.

I get accused of being a RS for speaking sense, but it's nonsense on here to speak any positive words about our red brethren.
Anyway, perhaps I've got it all wrong. Especially as we're sitting 'comfortably' in the race for top 4. And we're 2nd in the goals against League, fantastic. He might have improved the defence, but at the expense of everything else. We have the same number of points after 9 games as last season. To speak of improvement is far too soon, but 'performances' haven't been upto scratch, thats what I find concerning. But we're sitting comfortably (after 9 games!) in the race for top 4. Suppose you could say that about Bournemouth (beat us too) and Watford too, and Watford under Mazzari are still at the teething stage. And we're out of the League cup to a Championship team. There's 2 ways this club can go from here, and it's all on our Manager. Succeed or fail. I have my doubts about him, but I get accused of being RS if I say ANYTHING remotely negative about our Club, even more so if I back it up with comparing him unfavourably to 'the other' manager that we cannot speak of positively.

I think you have to view Wenger's competitiveness in relation to that stadium move they made. Arsenal found it hard to find their feet for years after the switch to the Emirates. Also they had to pay for it and though they were/are competitive on wages they dont spend as much as their peers on fees. The stadium took precedence and towers over all other matters at that club in recent seasons. Even with that though Wenger has them in the CL every season. Outside of SAF here hasn't been a PL manager like him. Throw a cup in every so often and his record is superb.

I'm not ignoring the stadium issue as obviously it placed restraints of them, but I don't think it is excusing Wenger's current stubbornness*.

Wenger at Highbury was marvellous and the Emirates initially constrained his squad, yet that's less of an issue now as they clearly have money.

Look at the expenditure on Ozil, Sanchez, Mustafi et al. And they can play some marvellous football at times which is a joy to watch as a neutral.

However, that killer instinct for success that he once had seems to have gone or he (and those above him) have become complacent

Stability is fine and don't get me wrong he's been a marvellous manager, I just feel that a little bit more risk and they could be successful again.

Instead, they do not rectify the same ol' problems everyone and his dog can see and that eventually leads to them bottling it later on.

*stubbornness may not be the most suitable word, but it probably best describes how I see it.

He's never replaced an icon like Vieira, who he built his success on - that's been the major problem.

On spending: last five seasons net spend they spent half as much as City and United and £50M less than Chelsea, so they are still at the lower end of the financial elite, just above Liverpool.
