I think he knows he has to prove himself again a bit at a tier two status European club before landing a giant of the game like Bayern. If he gets Liverpool top four (having already taken a dross team of theirs last season to both a LC and EL final), that, added to his record at Dortmund, could see Bayern call him back. He's a very good manager.@davek why do you think Klopp would join bayern? Seems to me that hes not really keen on joining a big club and would prefer to take average teams up the league before imploding and then jumping ship.
Based on his choice of club I could see him at Valencia next or possibly Inter Milan if they stay midtable for the forseeable future.
He needs to finish 4th with the RS this season though so he can implode next.
Agreed on all, but most on the last bit - he's outspoken and animated, whereas Bayern tend to go for the calm and quiet types - it's not a fit at all imo. Weirder things have happened in football though, so we shouldn't disregard it but I'd say it's not exactly very likely...I think he knows he has to prove himself again a bit at a tier two status European club before landing a giant of the game like Bayern. My only doubt as to the above scenario panning out would be Klopp's temperament. I think BM tend to go conservative.
Add to that Klopp signed a six-year extension to his contract only back in July which I would expect to be on quite a reasonable wageMy only doubt as to the above scenario panning out would be Klopp's temperament. I think BM tend to go conservative.

Therefore, any approach would cost München a fair outlay unless it's in the last year or two of his contract. Would they be willing to pay that?
It's conceivable that one may have been included in his contract, but I'd say (pure speculation of course) it's more likely that he hasn't.Release clause, possibly?
I don't know. They were punching above their weight getting him. I would guess Klopp would have had one inserted if a major major club came in...especially BM.It's conceivable that one may have been included in his contract, but I'd say (pure speculation of course) it's more likely that he hasn't.
Neither do I hence saying it's purely speculation on my behalf, yet it's more common in the contracts of players; not heard of it with managers.I don't know. Fair enough mate.Neither do I hence saying it's purely speculation on my behalf, yet it's more common in the contracts of players; not heard of it with managers.
Also, after the Suarez saga, combined with the obvious talent of Klopp, I doubt they would have offered it in any original contract negotiations.
And if Klop did demand it, then I'm sure it would have only been reluctantly included. Let's hoping they have - I just feel it to be less likely.
Fair enough mate.
I suppose part of my thinking is that although LFC are not an on field giant anymore they are one of those elite financial institutions in football and are part of any "G20" (as it were) clubs who constitute a cartel in the European game. I reckon those clubs have a more relaxed or realistic view on the managerial go round than others. The top managers are just understood implicitly to be short term solutions for particular problems at big clubs. Liverpool's was getting back into the CL place groove again and Klopp is here on that mission. Just my IMO.
