That's probably because they both despise Man Utd with a passion. It's the whole 'my enemies enemy is my friend' thing again, which is deeply ironic because they used to slaughter us for it whenever we had a chuckle over Utd doing them. The feeling isn't mutual though because nearly every single City fan I know (and I know a fair few) hate Liverpool fc with a passion, they hate them second only to Man Utd.

You only have to have a quick look at Bluemoon to realise City fans hate the Kopites. I won't repeat what they call them over there in case it's against forum rules but it's quite apt.

Yep. Check out Shed End, a Stoke one I can't remember (Oatcake?) Arsenal Mania, The Fighting Cock, even a Carlisle one that I frequent (my mate runs it)...Kopites are disliked on them all.

It's isn't just because of Heysel. It's Liverpool fans self entitlement and the fact that their away fans seem to kick off wherever they go.

Kopites give people of Liverpool a bad name in general. I am not a Scouser and I know how Liverpudlians are thought of by outsiders and it isn't nice. A lot of this is because of those idiots across the park. Their current fans, ex players in the media (I mean look at John Aldridge and Phil Thompson for gods sake) and ex managers are so cringeworthy.

Music blaring day and night, Calor Gas bottles litter the overgrown lawn.

Their dogs ( all borderline banned breeds) and the 12 feral kids run riot.

The police and social services are constantly banging on their merde covered door.

This is my neighbor, Liverpool F.C.

The boom in social media made most fans across the country realise they're not alone in their hatred for Liverpool.

I don't even think it is just football forums. You can go on any random popular culture site and see questions posed about Corrie, Captain America, the Teletubbies... and see kopites are gob..... posted :)

I don't get this line of thinking, I seen lots of Liverpool fans celebrating it as a point gained last night but really, it's 2 points dropped.

It's not matchplay each weekend, it's who gets the biggest points total come next May and it's been an excellent week for City, Spurs and United, a poor week for Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea. A draw away at free falling Sunderland with 15 players out is a very, very poor result and Chelsea losing to Spurs doesn't make it any better. Come the end of the season it could be an absolute disaster for them if they get 5th and Spurs song with Chelsea fill up 2 of the top 4 places.

Something I didn't realise until last night was that Liverpool are just as close to falling out of the top 4 as they are close to winning the league.

Not bad considering the league was wrapped up by November...

I still have a bad feeling Liverpool will win the league though.
