Agree. There was very little Klopp could say other than what he did. It made me laugh the way Sky and BBC were going on about it. What did they expect him to say- "I think it's a rubbish idea and I fear for my job"?

Gerrard will be a problem for Liverpool - at the moment it looks an appointment designed to appease his ego and to get the fans and media onside.

Who do you reckon let on MK Dons had offered him a position - a decision on which having been made public was then declined - Im sure it wasn't the Dons. Let's face it, they were used to engineer RS sympathy to get him a position in the club.

He's a cynical operator - came back to train with the RS after LA Galaxy season fininished previous season - was welcomed that he could train - media show pics of him at Melwood. As soon as he realised he wouldn't be able to force a loan move back he went on their "legends" tour to Australia with Fowler and his mates.

In my opinion it's a case of careful what you ask for here...he wants Klopps job....he's been given the job of putting the cones out....any thought that their ego's will be able to sustain a significant difference of opinion is far fetched.

My reckoning is that there will be a love in at first - then a wobble - then a call to back one or the other. Not my problem!

No room for more than one mega ego at Liverpool. Benitez's biggest mistake was thinking he not Gerrard was in charge. Klopp won't let Gerrard anywhere near his limelight. You can't blame everyone else apart from yourself when you lose if one of those people is Gerrard, the cult won't have it.

Your over estimating them mate, they would throw anyone under the bus if it suited them, the way they treat their ex "legends" is evidence of that, just look what they did to "king Kenny", they don't do loyalty to anyone. The club has no moral identity, which is why it will never be a proper club.

The way they bang on about Shankly these days makes me smirk after they banned him from the club and we looked after him.
