Your over estimating them mate, they would throw anyone under the bus if it suited them, the way they treat their ex "legends" is evidence of that, just look what they did to "king Kenny", they don't do loyalty to anyone. The club has no moral identity, which is why it will never be a proper club.

The way they bang on about Shankly these days makes me smirk after they banned him from the club and we looked after him.

No but it is a winning club.

We need to do more winning and less morality (don't lose it all of course), giving contracts to Hibbert, Osman, Gibson and such like is not going to win us trophies.

edit: I think Koeman and Moshiri are starting to head towards this way....

Its a funny one, i thought a lot of the club looking after the likes of Hibbert and Osman when you compare us to what the RS did. I tink it speaks volumes to the players, granted maybe we have to calibrate that difficult, but when you look at how we reward young players, look after ones who have contributed and shown loyalty, the work we do commmunity and how we have a social conscious and awareness we are a leading one.

You are right of course, personally if we get the blend of both right it is the ideal/

True though which might explain the absolute chasm in their trophy count. Only the pro RS English media could honestly put Klopp up in the same bracket as Mourinho and Guardiola, some of them even think Liverpool have the league's best manager. The guy has lost 5 finals in a row and has three trophies to his name, only one of which was won when Bayern were in any sort of form (despite the myth that he deposed Bayern). He basically picked up a couple of Bundesliga along with Wolfsburg and Stuttgart when Bayern had a lull.

Despite this he's being put in the same bracket as Mourinho who has 2 European cups with different teams, loads of league titles in 4 different leagues, numerous domestic cups. It's laughable it really is.

When he crashes out of the top 4 this season it's all going to kick off and it will be hilarious.

Remember in transfer windows when we had no money to spend we used to wheel out a new contract for a player to hide from the fact we were not signing anyone?

Coutinho been in talks for months apparently, my guess is he agreed at least a month or 2 ago, they saved the announcement for now to keep the fans off the boards back!

All we need now is a "we will go with what we got" statement from Klopp and they have transformed into Moyes' Everton
