ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Because the club have tried there best to airbrush the entire thing out of the history of the club, they lost all right to moan about the abuse they get over heysel the moment they brought the steau banner out and there nice good fans who never do anything wrong creamed their keks over the great bantz basically to a last man of them.

You try score points over a tradgedy your clubs fans caused, then expect to get the abuse you deserve for it, any one of them who liked that banner for example or who brings up any excuses like Chelsea fans, torino ones, or juve started it, the police's fault, or that times where different back then deserves those chants thoroughly.

And it hurts them to hear it cos it reminds them of something they want everyone to forget about.

One only has to read the Heysel "commemoration" plaque stuck somewhere on a wall outside The Pit.

It simply refers to 39 fans dying.

A visitor from Mars would be forgiven for thinking the tragedy befell fans of both clubs.

Lets all remember what the utter bells did at Athens in the CL final

Horrible bunch of scruffs

The difference between the two sets of fans can be summed up by one often repeated scenario. If our match is on tv in a pub or bar, there is inevitably always one kopite watching as well loudly mocking the blues, cheering the opposition goals, slow clapping if we lose etc. What's the worst that happens? He's largely ignored, at most he might get a few disgruntled words behind his back (which he would be completely oblivious to of course). Reverse the scenario though, I've been out with friends watching the RS game (unfortunately) and if they lose I've felt threatened just for even being known as a blue and that's if I've kept my mouth shut for the whole game. If a blue started giving it the big one during and straight after a painful Liverpool loss there would be violence within minutes. The vast majority of them have been fed on a diet of perpetual success and a narrative of believing they have a divine right to win everything and lord it over all other clubs. They can't deal with disappointment failure and embarassment like most other fans can, they're not able to laugh off banter from opposing fans. Aggression is their default setting and has got them in trouble all over Europe. Let's be honest if it wasn't for the favourable media treatment and the raft of special dispensations they've accrued their reputation would be in the gutter where it belongs.

Case in point, their European run last season was marred with countless incidents of loutish behaviour, flares, offensive banners, ticket issues, fighting during the game, so much so that UEFA whacked them with fines. Not to mention a drug scandal of one crucial player. This was largely swept under the carpet though. A few French ultras jump a bar of unsuspecting blues in Lille though and the papers couldn't get enough of Evertonians in bar fighting chair throwing incident. Liverpool fans know they're largely untouchable and protected by the authorities, it just fuels their behaviour even more.

The club showed a complete lack of class and sympathy over Heysel, to the point were its almost a forgotten tragedy here.
I know two wrongs don't make a right, but they absolutely slaughtered Man U for years with that Munich song.
They brought great shame on our wonderful City and some act like they don't give two f---s about it.

Something else that winds me up about them is this JFT96 crap you see them display on cars, their emails, posts etc.
Its not about justice at all, the families have fought a long battle for it and it should be left to the families to grieve in peace, not be reminded constantly about it with this slogan. Displaying this on your car is not about justice, its about the people displaying it, look at me, I'm a good guy.

I have every sympathy for the 96 and their families, but lets not forget there's another 39 heartbroken families out there.

Completely and utterly this. To be honest everything about the cult and it's followers screams "look at me, pay me attention".

And they'll use any means to validate themselves. At the school where I taught we had an out of uniform day to raise money for charity. Students came out of uniform and could wear a football top. Most were AFL but there were many from other codes. I answered a knock at the staffroom door and there was a girl in a Liverpool top. I jokingly said to her 'Why are you doing wearing that thing?' Her face crumpled and she said in pain 'I Know. My dad makes me wear it.' So here's a kid forced to wear a top just so dad can advertise to the world how he's hardcore Liverpool. We have mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse and I was tempted to report this but I doubt the authorities would see it through my eyes.

Sounds like another team who play out of Govan...

They infiltrate everywhere, one sided views of history, told solely from their perspective and validated by a media who themselves are drawn from the same clan.

Any different or alternative view is quickly closed down or shunned - the story, whatever it is, can only be shared from how they view the situation. They play to their own victim mentality that it has become the norm for every event.

Yes, they have had tragedy and the support from our Club has been beyond reproach. Magnificent actions and words - consistently - to show solidarity at a time of universal grief.

I don't want recognition and applause for doing the right thing - we are Everton - and that is what I expect us to do.

However, I despise their self righteous sense of entitlement, their inability to accept that they are not destined to win trophies because of their past achievements. And when they don't, it's always someone else's fault. Respect has to be earned and they fall at the first step in my book, every time.

I hate them, everyone last one of them.

This is so true. We ignore them, but they just can't ignore us.

There is a lady who lives over the road from me who's husband died. She just wants it all to go away.

She said her piece in court etc but now wants to move on but can't.

Also, I love the way ATV is relevant to Heysel and Hillsborough in there eyes. The deluded 1000's genuinely seem quite oblivious to all the other things that they're responsible for that they refuse to take the blame for.

Suarez being the victim of Evra not understanding The Uruguayan culture being the highlight.

Let's cut to the chase, by and large their fans...

Are media whores
Have 'kin big mouths on them
Think they have massive status in world football
Exploit one football tragedy / deny or ignore another football tragedy
Remain stuck in a late 70s / early 80s time warp
Sentimental half the time and psychopathic the other half

Utter wrong uns.

Worst of all was their cringey 'in memory and friendship' banner and mosaic they had at the Juventus game at Anfield. It was so kopite, a big look at me gesture when they knew the world would be watching, their typical use of foreign language to make them out as super cultural, and to top it off it didn't even say sorry. Once the cameras have gone though the reality is a plastic plaque outside of Anfield and paltry club delegations half heartedly turning up at memorial days. Then the mock outrage when the Juve fans quite rightly turned their backs on the whole thing which the British media just glossed over in their annoyance that the Juventus fans hadn't waved their half and half scarves and expunged the greatest club in set world of any wrongdoing on the back of a half arsed 'apology'. Maybe they thought they'd all join in a chorus of you'll never walk alone and it would all be fine. Why wait until prompted by a champions league game to acknowledge their part in it?

Just seen a post on facebook, it was 'the klopp end' page.
One admin says he was disgusted to see people calling for Klopps head, another comment was a red saying he was also shocked.

Few comments down, fans saying it was other rival fans saying it and not them, even though reds are on there admitting that fellow reds they know have made the comments.

Couldn't make it up honestly.
