ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

To a point I agree. They've been unflashy owners who got something done. But imo they have not invested in that squad. They're taking care of infrastructure and preparing for a sale and they rely on a manager to give them an unlikely CL spot again. Klopp has not been well supported by FSG and he's done a much better job than many of his detractors give him credit for. If they get top 3/4 that'll be a hell of a result for them. He almost did it after a few months in the job when they had that EL final.

They require a billionaire who will spend like a drunken sailor for 5 solid years to get back to the top.

Honestly they don't Dave, what they need in reality is an exceptional director of football, a zork from Dortmund for example, and also a much improved scouting network.

Klopp is good but he's also flawed, and requires a constant stream of talent coming into the club to effectively replace those that start physically breaking down due to his training and way of playing, dunno if you saw my post the other day listing 7-8 of the key players of his best Dortmund sides and their history records since 13/14 season, most had high teens in ammounts of injuries sustained, and those lower was due to having several long term serious 5-6 month injuries.

Your already seeing this season the cracks in some players appearing, noticeably Henderson, sturridge, lallana, matip, lovren and firminho, mane, coutinho will start progressively picking up more over the next season too.

Dear god!!

I feel really good, after reading that.

It gladdens my heart.

I dont know. I think you can make a case for any manager who likes his team to press to have the finger pointed at them over injuries. Spurs have had a horrendous catalogue of injuries. Pochettino was very defensive about that when Danny Murphy made the point that Spurs players hamstrings were popping regularly with his style of training and playing.
