The Kenny Dogleash Stand.. I don't doubt he gave them 13 or so great years as a player and manager (plus of course his post-Hillsborough contribution) and is deserving of a great accolade.. but he was no Shankly or Paisley in terms of deserving the higher honour compared to those managers.

Is it going to stink of p!ss to make the homage all the more appropriate?

Talking now of a possible play off for 18th place (Hull/Swansea - similar goal differences). Same might apply to 3rd if Liverpool/City finish level. City are 3 behind with game in hand - and minus 6 goals for, minus 5 against.

Could easily happen: say City win game in hand 4-2.

City have 3 home games - all winnable (Palace, Leicester, West Brom) before away to Watford
RS have Saints, Boro home and West Ham away..

So - let's say they win all their games and finish on 78. Give Liverpool a 1-0, 2-0 and a 2-1 - total 5-1
City we'll give a 4-2, 3-2, 2-1 and 2-1 - total 11-6

Result - Liverpool and City tied on points, goals for and against.. result play-off - probably at Wembley.

Laughing there thinking about the fulsome praise of Dalglish from Henry today:

"Kenny’s contribution to Liverpool goes beyond goals scored, points amassed and silverware placed in the cabinet. His values are Liverpool’s values"'

I was trying to think where I'd heard that type of praise before, then it dawned on me it was this quote from Henry 5 years ago...

"Kenny will always be more than a championship winning manager, more than a championship winning star player. He is in many ways the heart and soul of the club. He personifies everything that is good about Liverpool Football Club".

....the day after he'd summoned Dalglish to Boston to sack him.

He must have the same letter to hand for all of his flunkies he moves on.

They would just resort to head to head results in that case. Which i am not too sure how they got on in their games but I imagine they won at least one of them.

I don't think the PL rules have this in place. Pretty sure they haven't (Liverpool won their home game).

In any event the rules seem to stipulate match or matches which suggests that a replay might arise. I believe that it is up to the FA, in consultation with the cups, to stipulate these things when it is necessary. You'd think they'd have a rule book that indicated the venue, extra-time, penalties or replay scenario rather than make it up on the hoof.

I also notice that Spurs and Chelsea could tie for the title - Chelsea win 5-0 twice and draw 1-1 and 0-0 and Spurs win all four games 3-2 is just one example of a tie (on 89 points).

No, they've said there's no head to head, there'll be a play off game if they end up completely tied.
