The loveables are getting so worked up about who 'The Guardian' are naming as the top 100 players in the world, no doubt so they can have another go at the English press in their demented need to portray themselves as oppressed outsiders.

Whereas the Guardian actually asks for the opinions of coaches, journalists and players all over the world.

These lists are silly as there's no way even the most voracious consumer of footballer will have seen enough of every player to make anything approaching an informed judgement but it's not some conspiracy by the awful 'British press' to besmirch the good name of 'da mitey redmenz' that the rawkites and facebook reds are wanting it to be.

How can Lovren only be 3rd in the world. It's a conspiracy! And De Gea above Mignolet? We wuz robbed - Manc Guardian barstewards. And Stevie G at 20th??? I know he's not played for a couple of years like, but only a one eyed jealous blue wouldn't have him in their top 5.

Or am I thinking of the alternative top 100 players in the world.

Klopp has this season and possibly next to win something otherwise the only member of the fab 4 who’ll still be there will be Firmino (who lets face it isn’t that good). As soon as Salah Coutinho and Mane have shown some good form the big boys have come calling. Just as they did with Torres Alonso Mascherano Arbeloa Reina Benayoun Meireles Suarez Sterling. They are a second tier selling club who don’t win anything, have one title challenge on average every ten years and occasionally get into the CL despite spending as much money and paying the same wages as the real top clubs.
