I think Manchester have to get extra police out because if anythin goes wrong they know they wont hear the last of it, unlike when something went wrong in Liverpool but the trouble makers think it was just a bit of fun

I would kind of agree but the quality that they will face is a step up from 2005. Can't see RM or Barca losing against them. There is also Klopp's final record to take into account which I would have said was just a blip before but will probably be even starting to get on his mind by now.

the last couple of days a few posters on here have been trying to defend Merseyside police and the policing of last weeks game . Bizarre .

The overall planning and general execution of the whole thing is Indefensible for me . The only slight caveat to that is I get why they wouldn’t storm into the crowd on the night . However if nobody gets arrested with a couple of weeks or whatever I’ll be even more disillusioned with the whole overall policing .

agree with that. There should of been more stewards and police on duty . You can’t blame the police on the night steaming into the crowd it would of potentially caused a riot the way the cranks were acting up .

That’s down to the planning though , you haven’t got to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out what ‘scare’ them means when that’s said in the build up . I’m sure we’ve all been to matches where the police move you before you gather in too large a number and break up the crowd . It’s before the event they should have done something and they didn’t .
