You also have to factor this in: they are hugely more important to the tournament than Liverpool are. They are true global giants (as opposed to Liverpool who sell loads of key rings in Asia). They will intimidate officials just simply by being Barcelona or Madrid. That means any overly enthusiastic challenges on their players in their own half being - and especially around their penalty area - contested with all the sound and fury of clubs who KNOW they are bigger than UEFA. Liverpool will face a massive uphill struggle with either...and any club in the world would, tbf.

It’ll be painful , Standard I’ll watch for a bit with zero expectations and then city will probably score a couple, I’ll stupidly think it’s on and get excited and maybe open a beer. Then from nowhere the RS will net , city will make it level and then batter them for the a bit but either go out on away goals or the RS will pinch another . I turn the telly off and storm off in a mood.

Like I say standard .

2-2 this tonight.

This City team get very anxious when threatened. They've been excellent all season, but there's no way I'd say that lot were anywhere near the best the PL has seen.

I'd be happy to admit that this shocks me but, given who we are talking about, it doesn't.
A horrible club with at least hundreds of 'a few idiots' who turn up at that cesspit for every game.

They're just upset that the City fans have a lot more class and dignity, that's all.
