That dry pitch comment by Klopp was interesting....interesting in the sense of what it was designed to cover up. Liverpool looked knackered there today. Their legs had gone. The wheels look like they're falling off on the evidence of that.

Forget everything else, this will be the biggest obstacle they have to overcome in that semi. This isn't what they're used to at all. Roma should be doing everything they can to put Liverpool on a pedestal in the media in the build-up. We saw what happened as soon as they were favourites in 2014...

Roma need to be really solid and keep it tight for the first 30 minutes in particular, that's the danger period when they not only score, but can completely railroad teams and put a two-leg tie to bed almost. We see this time and time again, and not just under Klippity.

The longer it goes scoreless the more agitated the in-breds will get, thats when the likes of VVD can show how really good they are and let Roma in with an away goal from a set-piece.
