Nothing could be worse than the 1986 dual homecoming the day after the FA cup final.
If you lived through that as I did, I couldn't give a flying fig how many European Cups they win.
Sen the worst of them mate. They were all traumatic. Milk Cup final, two FA Cup finals, them winning the CL in 2005. All huge blows.

Dont kid yourself that them winning it this year will be anything other than a massive kick in the balls.

The closer it gets the more I think Roma is the worse draw for them, a tactically smart side that has no issue doing a 'jose' to the rs, both real and bayern will feel too proud to do it, but Roma won't have any issues sniding them out of it, quietly confident here

Honestly, I'm immune from what they do or achieve. It helps that not living on Merseyside that I escape the worst of taunts, but the previously mentioned event when we literally trailed in their wake as they paraded both trophies left me with the football equivalent of PTSD.

Just been reading this very afternoon the chapter of the Peter Reid book where he talks about that. Reidy, as you know, refused to join the joint parade and took the fine instead. He got out the country sharpish to avoid anymore pain. He also says Steve koff Mcmahon came up to him in the bar at Wembley and asked him if he wanted a double. Reid rounded on the Judas get and told him it was no time to take the piss. I bet he told him in no uncertain terms too.

Horrendous.

Still, wanting Everton success goes hand in hand with wanting the very worst for that lot in my book. I take their major Euro triumphs on the same level as when they overturned us in finals.

I don’t want any Liverpool fan who travels to Rome to suffer any violent retribution from so called Ultras or local tooled up, beaked up, face hidden coward.

The press reaction to the average badge wearing, compulsory scarf wearing multiple seat occupying, selfie stick carrying, Fanta drinking, flag carrying, shirt wearing worldwide member would dominate multiple media outlets for months.

I was unfortunate to be in Lille at the Australian bar and Blue unfortunate to be caught up in that will have their own tale of cowardly pre planned violence. It ain’t England is all I’ll say and thinking uniformed police to help or intervene isn’t to be taken as granted. They knew that night.

So, I hope the Liverpool fans sing their songs, act sensibly and get home safely. Let the headlines be about the football, How Roma strolled to a comfortable win, building on their first leg lead.

Let’s see.

Salah PFA player of the year..

So the week starts here...

What annoys me is like Coutinho/Sterling/Suarez he'll go for a massive fee and be nothing special at his new club. They always seem to have players who play much better at their club than whoever they move on to.

Thought this reply was brilliant. Couldnt believe the WBA game the other day, when they had Lambert & McMahon on (in addition to Kelly Dagleish). Not only do we have to suffer Owen, Gerrard, Souness, Redknapp, Carragher, McManaman, Murphy & Lawrenson, they find 2 more.

LFC media machine is on a par with the Murdoch klan for pushing agendas.

suarez has been quality for Barca and coutinho was bought for next season.

Nah.....Suarez has looked like just another player.

No shame in that, being just another player at Barcelona but he looks nothing special. They’d probably be getting shut of him this summer if they didn’t have such a big rebuilding job to do.

It just highlights the level Messi and Ronaldo are at that they look miles above them all.

they are already sending out posters to greet the coach like it's a birthday party, wouldn't fancy getting legged around rome by knifed up lids on scooters because a load of wools lobbed cans of bud light at the rome coach, guarantee they won't be able to help themselves

Dem Italians though.. they'll know just how to turn the coach around and go back to the hotel after the trauma.. big UEFA fine, two year ban...in the meantime match played Thursday behind closed doors.. sorted.
