ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Nothing could be worse than the 1986 dual homecoming the day after the FA cup final.
If you lived through that as I did, I couldn't give a flying fig how many European Cups they win.

There's pain and then there's '86. Witnessed as a nine year old and I'm still emotionally scarred by that week in May. Nothing will ever come close.

Jeezus....I thought 2005 was bad, really bad.

I can only be greatful I was just too young to remember 86 if that was worst.

It sounds like I dodged a bullet.
I shouldn't really be surprised when I think about it that it's some 32 years ago now and a generation were not around.
But I shudder even now thinking about it. How cruel it must have been for our players.

1986 was hell, it's hard to quantify how much it stung having them beat us to the double. Particularly straight after the European ban. Thing is the players back then seemed to be so much closer to the fans and felt every loss just as bad as us. The current lot just aren't arsed....

2005 was a giant kick in the balls, the subsequent CL game against Villareal just took the pish in the worst possible "Everton that" moment since.

If they triumph - undoubtably due to a snide decision knowing their satanic nature - the summer will be pretty much unbearable.

De Bruyne can console himself with his two trophies whilst Salah shines his tin pot thinking how he will ever win a premier league.

He could move to City but hell, at least let's make the competition something of a challenge. If Salah moves to City they'll win the title in February.

The Pricks are at it again.
