Rodgers was the same almost winning the league with that side which was complete dross apart from the front three. As much as they haven’t won anything recently when you look at the teams they’ve had on paper since Rafael left they shouldn’t have been near anything. I don't subscribe to this 'won nothing' lark. A Europa final and very likely at least the CL final isn't exactly nothing plus, whatever happens, we are stuck with weeks and weeks and bloody (can I say that?) weeks of build up.

That’s a great point to be honest , I’m genuinely sorry for that fella but they’ve whipped it up into a frenzy and the Roma lads just don’t mess about. I’m absolutely certain that those in the coach welcoming party aren’t traveling to Rome because they aren’t the ones who’ll have to pay for it . For all my talk of hating them that’s in a football sense I Dont want to see anybody seriously hurt over there but I think it’s a genuine Concern.

Good to see a couple of people have been nicked for the attempted murder though , the last time I remember people getting their heads kicked in outside anfield the coppers just nicked a couple of their own who took the kicking from the RS. So that’s an improvement from the bizzies at least .

However, unlike national media outlets who are running this story as headline news, the ‘Liverpool’ Echo has decided to downgrade it, along with the mob-rule incident by Liverpool fans prior to the game, to the outskirts of its articles. Wouldn’t want to tarnish the reputation of their chosen club would they? Outrageous.

I said to my mates that the City thing is almost like a challenge to other sets of fans when they are acting as if they are Galatasaray.

These European teams just don't give a flying one. Instead of the police being firm with all the scruffs bouncing on police vans and doing nothing but stand there just left other areas of the ground without policing beforehand.

There has been bad blood between these 2 clubs since the early 80's so you use your head and be smart, get to the ground and do your supporting inside the ground but oh no that seems too difficult a task.

My thoughts are with the fella, hope he pulls through as no matter how much I can't stand that lot you don't want anyone taking it to the extreme

I hope the fans are sensible enough to know if they do go next week not to go looking for trouble though trouble will still probably find them

they are already putting in for the day off for the final in work, already been asked about a dozen times if I watched the game, no I don't watch Liverpool, bitter arnt you, they cant even win a game and not try to have a go.
I just say I don't normally watch you, man united or anybody else nothing special about you lot I support Everton and don't like any other team, and before any of you ask I am staying on the early turn on the final day so don't even ask for a swap.
