A defeat of any description is vital. If that happens I'd see a chain of events that would be hard to stop:
- Klopp would be under the cosh having produced no success and will have the stink of a loser if he loses his 6th(?) straight final.
- The front three will be stripped from them as Euro powerhouses bring the megabucks out.
- The rest of the team will be seen as not good enough and another player overhaul and rebuilding stage embarked on.
- FSG will be seen as the enemy and hounded by the cult.
If they manage to win they are going to take some stopping if they then add world class quality in vulnerable positions (FBs, GK, another CB, another CM).
90 minutes in Kiev is a zero sum game for those reasons....and there's no other team in the world I'd entrust the task of derailing Liverpool than Real Madrid. I'm not happy Liverpool are in the final, but I'm VERY confident they'll lose to Madrid.
