Eduardo charged with 'deceiving the ref'

The thing is, this incident is going to happen countless times across world football this weekend, the forward rushes in on goal, the keeper flies off his line and slides at forwards feet to get ball, forward gets to the ball before keeper, touchers it past him and takes a tumble, contact or not ref gives the pen.

Are UEFA/FIFA gonna take action on every penalty incident across world football?

Everyones got an opinion, but ultimately it lies with the big wigs and they have IMO jumped in without thinking it through.

A lot of [Poor language removed] will hit the proverbial over this.

Not sure I agree with you there mate. Your basically turning a blind eye to cheating. We all know it happens, and it has happened for so long with no consequences. It has to change, and it was never going to be a smooth transition.

Like we have discussed I reckon that every Monday morning, those in power sit around a table and discuss the events of the weekend, controversial ones obviously. Then they take action. If players know this, then they will not cheat as much. That is for sure.

Who care if the [Poor language removed] hits the fan over this?? It is a START If it doesn't start somewhere, then it won't ever start.

Let's get over the bickering that is surrounding the potential future and finally applauding the fact that they are ACTUALLY taking action for once.

I'm not condoning cheating, but the Arse are gonna be the first to point out every dive in future and ask the question, why Eduardo and not him!!

You can say it's got to change all you want, it won't.

Well it already has mate. That's the thing.

This wasn't no witch hunt against Arsenal, Wenger or Eduardo. This was an incident, probably the first of the season.

I'm sure they will do the same for any controversial incident from now on.

But in which games tho, just the high profile ones that make the headlines?

I wonder if Accrington Stanley v Shrewsbury Town will be high on the agenda tommorrow, it might be a petty argument but one rule for one and all that.

Accrington Stanley versus Shrewsbury Town isn't a UEFA competition. UEFA will administer to the competitions it runs, and the FA will have to do the same in their competitions.

Doubt your going to get as many cheaters in the lower leagues.

I always saw cheating as an arrogance, from the well paid players who felt they were above the law.

Id love to see UEFA start banning players more often. I dont care if it means loads of players getting banned for it either. Tough sh!t on them, they should not be doing it in the first place and its their problem.

But, certain players will be ignored by UEFA. Just watched Messi commit something that any other player would have been sent off for, but he got just a yellow. I know thats not diving, but there are players/teams that the authorities dare not touch.

They might not have the ability but they are just as thick the overpaid primadonnas.

We ain't gonna agree on this one Ghost, lets put it to bed m8.

By the way, just had a look at your new site for the Darts, looks good m8!!!

Well it's not really a debate worth debating on. Uefa are going to do what they do and if they sting some cheats then I'm all for it. What I can't hack is Wenger pleading innocence, where we all know that if it was Rooney or Berbatov doing it against Arsenal, he would be kicking off big time.

Thanks on the site, hopefully going to green light it tomorrow.
