Danny Donachie has a lot to answer for tonight causing all this fume.

An aside, didn't his old man get the bullet recently from his employer.....double sh1tter for the Donachies that.

Incidentally, if DD rocks up in a new job of his own choice in the next month or so, is this post irrelevant, or is it all still Roberto Martinez' fault?

Wonder what's the odds are on a return double....Baz and Alan Irvine?

You need to read Rathbone's book.

Probably zero chance of Rathbone returning.

Doubt Irvine will be back either - no place for him. Already got enough coaches and his spot at the Academy was filled.

No. EVERYTHING must be Martinez's fault.

Look, let's not pretend that you have an open mind on Martinez, your posting from the very moment he was touted as the new manager when Moyes walked away has been an unremitting attack on the man and his methods. You come to the issue with a closed mind. So let's not have all this stuff about what he's doing wrong now is the source of your agitiation: you've been dead set against him right through the good times as well as this season's downturn.

You're not kidding anyone with this stuff. You dislike the man's football with an intensity. We get it.

Agricultural style football isn't it @davek

Thats what these lot want.

Oh David, how you continue to amuse. My view on martinez was a view, but once he took control he gained my full backing.

When he does things right he receives applaud,
when he does things wrong he receives criticism; just like any other manager.

What I will not do his arse lick him to death because of one good season, he has made fundamental errors this year, his team is playing like they don't know each other and the excitement level has plummeted to low levels. Watching some games this year have been painful and I've seen, and heard, nothing to take account or responsibility for this. Apparently, after painful displays of the last week or so we are playing close to how he wants (oh how I must laugh).

But back to the thread, your mini rant took us off track a bit. We've had 19 like for like injuries in the space of 18 months, yes we've had injuries in the past but not on this scale.

Is this a coincidence or is there another reason? was there a disagreement between the two? Only time will tell.

Is that right?

Then you wont mind providing some examples of that will you? Just one or two, that'd suffice.

Cheers.

Regardless of responsibility and finger pointing now, we started the season off unfit on the back of a very poor pre season, no stamina training evident, no cohesion, no obvious gameplan

We've been playing catch up ever since, no fitness, the injuries start to pile up and players are rushed back, set backs, rushed back, cycle continues.

Pre season was down to Bob's approach, all wrong. None of that world cup malarkey either, what was the most any of them played?

We stroll through 70 minutes of games and they up the tempo at the end when they are already spent, obviously something in the background goingon

putting your players completely undercut into the start of premiership because of the world cup/Europe probably didn't help. we have been fighting an up hill battle with fitness since day 1.

Read it and enjoyed it.....especially about his time at Halifax Town.

Never say never.....Irvine wouldn't surprise me at all....lots of people at the Club have a lot of time for him still.

Unfortunately David the ones when I am positive towards martinez are locked and I am unable to quote. But I'll have a better look when I'm home and on the laptop just to appease you

Anyway, what point are you trying to make with regards to the thread and the fact we've had 19 like for like injuries in the past 12 or so months. Considering you've performed your usual spin doctor tactics and reverted away from the matter at hand
