From the outside looking in and reading between the lines, it would seem his methods are at odds with Martinez'.

Not necessarily. He might have resigned due to being felt he was being made the scapegoat. It's always teams like ours and Arsenal's that suffer a lot of injuries yet Chelsea don't. Perhaps it's down to the style of football.

Newcastle have an even worse injury record than us so at first glance it doesn't look like we are missing him much.

United demoted one of their medical guys recently didn't they @Jim Lahey as LVG was unhappy with the squad fitness?

He did mate but is hasn't beared any fruit as of yet - our injury list has been ridiculous this season.
