Egypt Shark Attack

I thought the video was staged until I saw the news. Not sure that helps anyone but that's my experience of it. Bird with the annoying voice should have been in there.

Whenever I see a story like this, it always reminds me of the Aussie authorities press conference about a Kiwi woman who was eaten alive by a crocodile whilst swimming at an Australian National park a few years back:

‘You can only get there by ferry, and there are signs there saying watch out for the bloody crocodiles,’ he said. ‘People have to have some level of responsibility for their own actions.’

‘You can’t legislate against human stupidity,’ continued Mr Entsch. ‘If you go in swimming at 10 o’clock at night, you’re going to get consumed.’

I don't really use my Facebook but I've got a distant relative on there who obsessively gets involved in absolutely anything, properly immerses herself as if she's part of it. One of those "Pray for Jamaica" profile picture types because some fella lost one of his flip-flops in Kingston. Anyway I knew, just KNEW she'd be all over this so I've just had a look and she's posted 14 statuses about how horrible humans are for killing the shark. I'm just waiting for the "Pray for Jaws" profile photo change. She's having full out war with people in the comments this is the same woman who obsessively speaks about Kate & Gerry McCann and got in her car to go down to the arena in Manchester after the bomb had gone off to pay her respects when she just wanted pictures for attention.

I don't know much about the kid who got eaten but you do look at some other people and think why not you?

I almost had to arrange an intervention after the Paris attacks. Blimey. She was about 70% of Facebook traffic that weekend, she even joined a Parisian locals account and was over there throwing punches claiming the authorities must have known before the gig that it was being targeted and something about invading Algeria etc, this is while bodies are still on the floor in the venue.

There’s a family friend on my FB who is fairly similar.
When there’s not a global catastrophe to bandwagon jump, she’s making constant in-memorial posts about a different dead distant relative every day.

“RIP Great Auntie Doreen, doesn’t seem like it’s been 13 years since we lost you”

“24 years since my 3rd cousin Dave got his angel wings, thinking of you every day”

And on and on 😬
