Funny you mention Haaland, as these two players come under the same banner in a way. Haaland was looked at earlier in his career and deemed like he'd already hit his heights as a kid and basically had no room to progress where as the lads around him would catch up so had more room to progress. Obviously Haaland proved that theory wrong in his case.
I think Simms is a player that gives that theory more 'Credence' ( although I don't like that whole approach to judging youngsters )
I can't see a next level in Simms game, I think he's already hit it and that's why he stood out more as a youngster.

he's played enough championship and Scottish league games now that he shouldn't look like a lost puppy on the field ( no matter the opposition )
He'll be fine in the lower tier, but he is no premiership player.

It’s all about the club he choses. Join the right one he could get a shot in the premier league with a promotion.
He scored enough last season for a team to stake a punt in the championship.

It's really weird how Maupay continues to play ahead of him, when the worst case scenario you could possibly get from Simms is basically being like Maupay, but taller, and Simms even in cameos has looked significantly more likely to score and create for others (remember the Iwobi penalty and the one that set Doucoure up before he started tripping on his own feet?) than Maupay ever does. And it's not like Maupay is putting in the work otherwise out there.

The mad thing is that Dyche not playing Simms not only removes a player who can hit the target...but also decreases Maupays sale value.

Dyche and Lampard both ostracised him. He's been hit and miss but that goal against Chelsea nobody else in the squad scores. Surely worth a go?

We need to give fans something on Sunday ! Maybe maupay is better than this guy in training but simms would give the fans at goodison more hope than maupay and give them something to support ! and dyche needs to think on that !
