I wish Ellis all the best for the future.
As he was linked with both Coventry and Swansea , I would have thought that he would have been included as a part of any deal involving either Gyokeres or Piroe.
Logic dictates that neither of those two are now coming here.
I sincerely hope that this isn't another form of the "Arteta money" or latterly the "Gordon money".
We are criminally short of strikers , and this makes it even worse .

Good luck Ellis. If the breakdown of the fee, which has been reported as £3.5m down rising to £5m if Coventry don’t get promoted, after they’ve just trousered £20m odd Is correct then it has the incompetent finger prints of Bill Kenwright all over it. Shambolic negotiating

Just seen that it’s only rising to £8m if they get promoted! So it’ll be more like £5m.

Annoying that Man City are selling players who’ve never played a single minute of Premier League football for absolute top dollar (James Trafford £15m, Shea Charles £10.5m rising to £15m, Bazunu, Lavia, Edozie, Larios for a combined £38m) whereas Simms is a proven Championship striker AND played & scored in the EPL; yet we’re only getting £5m for him…
