Talksport: Adrian Durham and Darren Gough declaring the FA should pull out of FIFA and that England does loads of good stuff for the emergence of football in Third World countries but we should now **** them off - ended their braodcast with 'There'll Always be an England'.

Radio Gold.

I love talksport's crusades against things they don't agree with.

Sour grapes from a poor England bid

You see, being honest mate, the English resort to claims of persecution when things go their way instead of analysing and resolving where the origin of the failure come from.

If it was close, like two or three votes in it then you might have a case but England got one vote out of a potential twenty one votes from foreign representatives. That to me just indicates that the England bid was clearly not good enough.

see i am the opposite if it was close then i could have belived it was fair but being so one sided i don;t see how it was fair. Common sense in my eyes fails to see what russia has over us. Can someone tell. They have one thing and that is never hosting is before. Does that mean they have the best bid. I for one am not sure?

We can deduct that they have a much better bid mate, as paining as it sounds. Lots of different nationalities voting for it preferred it to England's, in fact everyone rated England's bid as the least inviting which is a worry.

People need to be looking at those behind the England bid for the ineptness at spending good money and putting on a [Poor language removed] bid.

That includes the tories.

Maybe its not all about the quality of the bid, maybe its about developing of the infrastruture of the game in a develooping country, Russia will get new stadiums, training facilites, transpost links and Fifa will gain increased exposure in one of the the biggest markets in the world. I dont think its about bids to be honest its more about commericality and England wouldnt mean any increased ££££ to Fifa as opposed to Russia. Was the same this with Japan and South Korea/, USA, South Africa and Bladder bringing football home to Germany.

Its all pretty obvious like!

The fact remains that Russian girls are hot, so no complaints here!

Nice one Azul . Spot on there by the way .

Next time a European country could host it is 2030. So that is a mininum of 64 years between world cups held in the UK and probably longer than that. And at least 30 years wait for Italy. 38 years for Spain. 72 years since Scandinavia got it. The Netherlands, have never had it nor have Poland, Austria, or any of the former yugoslavian and warsaw pact countries.

Aegentina who last had it in 1978 will have to wait until at least 2026. 48 years or longer. Brazil, who have won it the most often, had to wait 64 for gods sake.

But Qatar, a tiny country who have never even qulaified for a world cup, get to host it while so many of the giants of the game don't.

I said it before and I'll say it again. This rule that one continent can't have the same tournament twice in 12 years is ridiculous. The result is that Latin America and Europe who supply all the winners, most of the best teams and players, the most passionate supporters and the most media interest get it only half the time. And we get cups held in places like bloody Qatar where nobody gives a [Poor language removed] and the hosts get knocked out in the groups stages.

We should have had John Smith, Peter Robinson and Kenny Dalglish running the bid. No expenditure on the bid other than thick brown envelopes aots, Swiss bank account deposits, and corporate hospitality galore. Then after we'd won it we could have killed all three of them, the ones that aren't dead already obviously.
