England v Algeria, 18th June 2010

That's it for me for this tournament, wrote off all last Sunday with a hangover, not much better today. I've put my body on the line for England but can't continue supporting a "team" with Lampard, Heskey, Carragher and Sean Wright Philips in it (and Johnson, Parker, Arteta, Jags & G Cahill sitting back in the UK).

Lampard is a ******* crime against international football.

Capello, got the formation wrong, the team selection wrong. When's he gonna realize, that most of the England squad don't play 4-4-2, If he's gonna play 4-4-2 then he needs to either play Crouch and Rooney upfront or Gerrard just behind Rooney.

If Gerrard behind Rooney then play Cole left and who ever on the right.
If he plays Crouch up front with Rooney then you got to have Gerrard on the right and Cole on the left. Or simply drop Lamps, he [Poor language removed] in big comps for England.

Rooney was awful yesterday, worse player on the pitch. Couldn't control the ball, beat a man, or pass it. Shocking display. The only advantages we have is that every team other then Argentina are playing crap. Its not over just yet. Probably will be Wednesday.

2 things.

1.Rooney's phonetics : Excellent for someone born and raised in Crocky.
2. What the frigg, does Wayne Rooney know about loyalty?

The problem with england is the big players ego,s and stature at their respective clubs is preventing them becoming just another part of the jigsaw when it comes to the international set up in the big tournaments. World class players like lampard, stevie gbh, rooney and co have no cohesion when playing for england and dont seem to buy into the TEAM ethos.

Look at my country Ireland. We have some seriously [Poor language removed] players, but they bought into the TEAM philosophy that Trapatoni brought to table and went unbeaten in qualifying only to bow out in unfortunate circumstances. I think we would have done well in south africa, as it seems the well organised teams are holding their own in this tournament.

England need to get to the basics of teamwork and shape and stop believing in their own hype and with the quality players they have the rest should look after itself. Alas, i think the damage is done in this tournament and even if they get through the group i dont see them going much further.

Extreme circumstances requires extreme actions. He should of brought a load of players with NO world cup experience.

They would of been hungry and had the unconditional backing of the fans...

Would they have really done much worse than the current team??? really???

I'm just looking at other teams, and that is what they are....teams....with teamwork...

Agree to an extent but id imagine fear from capello wouldnt allow him to take chances with players so he went with the same players that have failed in so many other tournaments. I mean Heskey up front, yawn, as if it hasnt been tried and failed already.

Look at the fact of Dawson not even being in the original squad when he was clearly head and shoulders better this season than the likes of Upson who hasnt been good in about 2 seasons as an example. Also the treatment of Milner. I would of had Dawson, Milner,Hart and even someone like Bent in the starting 11 nevermind the squad as you could be gauranteed they would be chomping at the bit for their chance and the very least you would get would be 100% effort which is the minimum a fan expects and which was clearly missing from a lot of players last night.

Chico, I like you. Always thought you are sound on here and your a funny guy, definatly given me a few laughs on here. Now thats out of the way you can **** off lad. How dare you come on here and write that absolute shocker?!!! England fans are hurting right now. I dont mind a bit of banter of course, but youve gone beyond that mate. Cant believe it. Evertonians should be there for Evertonians. Kopites call us bitter, and you know what? Im starting to think they have a point. The bitterness that the other home nations havent made it to the world cup is beyond belief. Just leave us to ourselves for the next few days ffs.

I'm sorry when did I put England above everton? In case you havnt noticed everton aren't allowed in the world cup so I've chosen to support my country, yes they are massively [Poor language removed], but they are my country.
When, at any point, did I say that we are a 'threat to international football'?! I've never even said we are going to win the world cup.
As we've mentioned on here before you seem to bracket England fans under one roof which is very shallow and as mentioned above you sound bitter. You've even admitted before that I seem a 'sound bloke' so why not a bit of sympathy if you're going to post anything at all. Being English I support England (shocking I know) and i can't help it if I hurt watching them be awful.
I used to like you Chico nut you are making this forum rather horrible to be part of at the moment.

It's ok lads, I know you're hurting. I'm there for you. The truth can be sobering some times.

Nik, could you watch your language please mate, or I'll pull your pants down and have people laugh at you.

Could we just ban you for a few weeks? It'd make things a lot more civil I reckon.

Just saying it as I see it mate. Its ok the odd quip here and there but it's constant mate - and not needed. I love England and I love Everton equally - that's the way I am and always have been. Not going to change, I said to you prior to this World Cup that I wasn't going to post during it because it would do my head in and then I would end up getting wound up. You said to stay and enjoy the banter - but for me it goes beyond banter.

I'm getting wound up mate because all your doing is constantly constantly jibing at England and England fans and England players. Rather than perhaps focusing on the actual games, the football, the tactics. It's all about the hooligans or the overpayed players, and then you go and defend Rooney? Why because he is a scouser?

All these threads about the football games are just littered with jibes at England and how we are all blerts, bellends, deluded, etc....

You know what I mean? That's not banter!

It's an Everton forum mate, so I'm just merely giving my view. The problem seems to lie with the England fans who want to live in their little bubble.

Just with you winding everyone up. We know your stance on England, there's no need to be condescending to everyone about it.

No one does condescending like England mate, look in the USA thread yesterday but that's acceptable right? Ghost was having a go at them there but when it's likewise it's not tolerated?

I'm here all week fellas.
