Euro 2021 in England...

I dont really think that is the issue. Like I said, we have played hundreds of domestic games with zero issues. As have every league in Europe.

But we have by a mile the best grounds in terms of facilities and numbers to host it, short term.

From a purely selfish (Everton) reason, I would not have any international football till next year, but thats not gonna happen.

The Copa is the bigger worry for us than the Euros, I'd say!

But agree on the Euros. It's solely right now about hosting the games. The decision on the fans will come when it comes.

If England get to the final it is also my 40th birthday that day. If we escape being in another lockdown what a day it would be. Hopefully Everton will also be FA Cup holders and looking forward to a crack at the Champions League as runners up. How I would celebrate!!

Cancel. I'm guessing all the other European leagues are a mess with scheduling too.

Just give the players a break. I'm guessing all their families will come over or they won't be allowed and will have to come alone - both not ideal.

I'd not like it to be in England. When a tournament comes to England I'd like it to be completely open, full of fans of all countries etc, parties everywhere and what have you. Not under pandemic conditions like this.

It will be used as you've had a tournament in 2021 so no world cup/euros for the foreseeable. Give it to France or Germany.

How many stadiums are normally picked for these tournaments?

Wembley, Old Trafford, The Etihad, The Emirates, Spurs Stadium, London Stadium all huge and new(/modern in Old Trafford’s case) with no obstructed views. Then you’ve got Anfield, Villa Park, St James’ Park, The Stadium of Light etc. I can’t think of any other country with stadiums like that in fairness.

I assume St Mary’s, Molineux, Brighton’s Stadium (AmEx?) would be used for your Finland vs Denmarks in the group stage.
If there's no fans, they should hold the games in the small, historic stadiums of Britain. Would keep operational costs down and give light to the club's who made football what it is today.

I'm of the opinion that covid is on the downslope for real so while I get not wanting to travel all over the continent, it was a dumb idea anyway, I don't really understand the cancel it shouts.

Germany has quite a few and so does France after hosting 2016 but they wouldn't go there back to back.

I also don't see why Hampden and whatever the Wales stadium goes by these days wouldn't be used over 4 London venues.

I'd rather the UK get a tournament under more normal circumstances. It's a bit ridiculous England hasn't had a world cup in over 50 years. The London Olympics were by far the best Olympics of my lifetime, and a world cup in England would be the same.

If they are going to solely hold it over here, it’s only fair that Wales and Northern Ireland get to host games too. The Principality or Cardiff City Stadium could easily host Wales’ games and a couple of the lesser fixtures as could Windsor Park in Belfast

Ideally have it like this

6-8 venues in England - Wembley as a given, Old Trafford or the Etihad, St James’s Park, Anfield, the Emirates and one of Tottenham Stadium or London Olympic, Villa Park and City Ground

2-4 from Scotland (pending how many used in England) - Hampden (was being used anyway), Celtic Park or Ibrox, Tynecastle, Pittodrie

2 from Wales - Principality and either Cardiff City Stadium or Liberty Stadium

One each from Republic and Northern Ireland - Aviva Stadium (og venue) and Windsor Park
