Euro 2021 in England...

I'm not sure about that. South America is obviously a different continent and they'll be next in line with Africa, but I'm not sure anyone in Africa is in a position to make a compelling case.
I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that England could be a contender for 2030. The South American option would be Argentina/Uruguay and they might not be able to host it then for one reason or another. I forget exactly. And I don’t remember a World Cup being outside Europe for longer than 8 years in the past.

Edit no I was wrong. Looks like Argentina and Uruguay will bid along with Spain/Portugal. Rumours also of Britain/Ireland, China, Balkans

2006 to 2018 and now 2018 to at least 2030. It's a different world. Europe isn't guaranteed at all.

How many stadiums are normally picked for these tournaments?

Wembley, Old Trafford, The Etihad, The Emirates, Spurs Stadium, London Stadium all huge and new(/modern in Old Trafford’s case) with no obstructed views. Then you’ve got Anfield, Villa Park, St James’ Park, The Stadium of Light etc. I can’t think of any other country with stadiums like that in fairness.

I assume St Mary’s, Molineux, Brighton’s Stadium (AmEx?) would be used for your Finland vs Denmarks in the group stage.
Obvs Goodison will be down to host the England semi final again then...until they keep it at Wembley.
