No way in hell he's dropping Kane or Trippier, I'd start Watkins and Shaw.

If they sit deeper than before they're gonna have to basically line up at the goal line to be honest. This was the first game where they looked to actually go forward and not guard a draw.

I dunno. I just look at this tournament and it would have been an utter disgrace if England hadn't have got to the final with the situation being as it was after the group stage. Plus they were absolutely appalling in all three group games which somehow ended up rewarding them in the end by having them avoid all of the good teams.

Imagine being told that to get to the Euro final the hardest team you'd have to beat is one of the worst ever Dutch teams.

Look at the teams Spain have beat and their other results. Night and day.

There was a graphic showing England’s record in recent tournaments vs all the other top nations in Europe. They’ve all got top players and yet some have got group stage exits, Italy haven’t even qualified for last two world cups, Belgium’s best is a semi final, Germany have exited two world cups in a row at group stages. You look at the teams some of these sides have lost to to go out of tournaments and they’re not world beaters at all.

France and Italy have lost to Switzerland to exit recent tournaments. Spain lost to Morocco.
Italy lost play offs to North Macedonia and Sweden just to even qualify for world cups. Germany have gone out of groups against Sourh Korea, Japan Mexico.

These runs only look easy once you’ve beaten teams and everyone suddenly calls them crap. It’s not the case at all. Netherlands put out a good Turkey team, Switzerland put out Italy. They’re not rubbish teams, England just beat them.

Can’t wait if England beat Span for them to go from a good team to crap in an instant.
