Not sure about dry, I believe Southgate brings his own lube now, just in case.

Either way, taking away the crudeness, you do have a point. I think IF we get to the final, one of Italy or Belgium would be too much for us but there is a belief in this side and in a one off game stranger things have happened and we would not be as long shots as a Denmark or Greece, when they won it. Spain I think it would be fairly 50/50. Not discounting Switzerland but I think we all know that they to beat Spain and then one of Italy/Belgium is going to be too much for them but will be a great story, if they do :)

I liked Southgate's post match interview, saying he is going to be the party pooper, he could have gone all fan on us and be really excited but this is where the pragmatic style definitely pays off. That is over, onto the next challenge.

Disagree with a lot of your posts, but I think you are spot on here about Sweden. They were the worst team in the tournament to watch I believe.

Hungary attacked more and they were allegedly in the group of death even though every team has been eliminated.

I think belgium is done. I wanted them to win it too, I like that generation of players and I still include Kompany in that. Had enough club success but i wish he got some on the international side with belgium.

But after Portugal just walked up and down the pitch kicking guys in the back of the ankles the whole game. They're done. I think KDB and Hazard, whatever he is now, I saw glimpses of the old him, but those two are done for this tourney I think. I just can't see them getting past Italy, and if they do Philips will put the rest of the squad underground that Paulinha didn't get to.

I think since the "reckless " challenge came in winning the ball became less important. It's been around long enough now for me to just accept it I suppose but I remember doing one when Jags got sent off against Wolves, and that was less obvious
 
Am I the only one who wasn’t really that bothered about England beating Germany it was just so muh. weather its the other the top amount of football or Everton new manager. It just didn’t seem that important. The whole Euros hasn’t had the same build up we normally have. No flags anywhere

Absolutely vile.

As an England fan I am disgusted by this, they are not England fans in my eyes. They are not even human in my eyes. They are cowardly things who are just like all the other social media racists & bigots. When that came on the screen I, like any other, human, 'awwed', heartbreaking to see kids reacting like this to football.

We were all there, I balled my eyes out in 1990, this was of course before my footballing soul was sucked dry by years of Everton & England (And Barrow, in my case as well).
