We have a crap team and have been crap for all but about 18 months of my life.

Belgium have gone into 2 tournaments ranked 1 in the world and lost the big game. They have some top players but they arent a top team. For a number 1 ranked side they are underachieving.

Well, I'm not per se defending Belgium. They mean nothing to me.

My point is that Roberto's job is to get themn to these finals and hand them a plan to get to the final. If you have a wasteful striker like Lukaku they'll fall short.

I've not been singling out Martinez like

They didn't perform as a team. Lukaku missed chances, De Bruyne was off the pace and they were weak at the back. Italy were the better side but Belgium should have performed better given their squad.

So many clown takes in here. The truth is, Lukaku let his team down, and as good as he can be, it accentuated one of his many faults.

Look at both of Italy's goals. Neither came from being tactically outplayed. The first was a bonehead pass that was intercepted and the second was perhaps the goal of the tournament. Both helped by a bit of luck. Take that out and this is likely a different result.

Italy did what they do and deserve some credit, but to blame Martinez after seeing some of those players is laughable.

Evidently looking at that ranking list posted before rankings mean absolutely nothing.
