I didn't ignore the rest. There can be contact and a dive but I still don't believe he dived. In the box there aren't only two consequences of someone going down: dive or foul.
I don’t believe it was a dive either, though I think he did for our first goal and I’ll admit that Liverpool were not offside in that game they drew with us!

I didn’t think it was a pen and it rather soured the result for me at the time but watching it back I can see why it was given.

Without some kind of reenactment where you would take one player running at the same speed sterling was and apply the exact amount of pressure that both defenders did in two different directions how can any of us truly know for sure if he intentionally dived or was knocked off balance (or both!).

The ref was a meter away and literally bending down with his eyes watching intently I really do think he thought it was a pen. VAR checked to see if there was contact and then supported the decision of the man on the ground.

I still have vivid memories of my first experience of Irish prejudice. We were staying in a bed and breakfast with my parents and two friends and my brother. The landlady was a right old bat and kept going on about her American guests while looking upon us like something on the end of her shoe. Half way through match of the day she marched into our room and confiscated the TV for being too noisy! My mum was livid the next morning, which wasn’t fun! So you see I too was a victim of intolerance and hatred.

Sounds like you deserved everything you got tbh

I had to go to Glasgow on business during the 1998 World Cup. Never have I been more sorry that I left my assault rifle at home.

Weather forecast has changed here for Sunday evening.
Now due to be pissing down.

That will make it a far more enjoyable experience if England win.
Koff with your fireworks.

I remember staying in a smart hotel in Glasgow with my missus around that time.

The parting shot from the receptionist at check in, was, “ have you removed every valuable from your car ? “

I asked what she meant and she simply said “ remove everything and I mean everything “
lol
