Euro2020 Knock Out Rounds

He could have kept his feet if he wanted to. So he dove. I'm not saying he wouldn't have maybe stumbled or lost the ball but he could have stayed standing. I've seen Raheem Sterling do amazing things so this is well within him if he wants. But he doesn't want to stay up and for obvious reasons.
Sorry mate but that doesn't wash for me. I've seen Messi do amazing things, beating 4 or 5 players then chipping the goalie, but he can't do it every time he wants.
And if a challenge (or two challeges in this case) causes him to stumble and lose the ball when the defenders didn't get a touch on the ball, that's a penalty.
Did he exaggerate? More than likely. They all do.

To be fair, he is the leader of the country. Whether we like him or not it would be a bit strange if he didn't say anything at all, as if it never happened.

It doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum the elected party is from, they will be using this mass euphoria as a tool to increase their own popularity. So, for me, politics is something that is a tenuous reason not like a football team.

I also find most things tories say nauseating, so it doesn't affect my supporting of England :)
This. Harold Wilson requested to be on the panel of half time interviewees on BBC in 66 (he was knocked back). And joined the players on the balcony as they posed for photos.

Of course BJ is a slimey opportunist and will jump on anything perceived as positive and a complicit media will help him.

Well done Colombia in winning 3rd place and so unlucky not to make the final on penalties against Argentina.

My point wasn't that Sterling is the only diver in world football.

Conmebol is a joke. Same few teams getting medals all the time out of the same tiny group of countries. America should be united. I would like to see USA, CAN and Mexico against the likes of Venezuela and Uruguay.
