Wonderful footballer. Incredible some of the angles he scored from
Second half last night the England defence stood off him and showed him the inside to get the right foot shot off that Pickford saved. Imagine being daft enough to do that?

These danish defenders are bigger and stronger and younger than Italian defenders and we have got behind them on numerous occasions with ease

You think a 96 year old chiellieni and 89 year old bonucci will fare better?
The rat likes this post.

Thiiiiis guuuuuuy

Well the expected carnage after losing never really kicked off, at least not in my area, reminds me a bit of euro 96 semi final where everyone was just to depressed to bother kicking off lol

Not playing Grealish, consistently, felt like a throwback to another era - like he was some sort of Le Tissier or Hoddle figure, a great technical asset but couldn't be trusted to put in a shift or press and keep shape.

He's nothing like that as far as I know? Great all round game to go with his creative instincts.
What bugs me about Grealish is that he seems to regard winning a free kick as a good outcome. Foden or Sancho should both be ahead of him in the queue for me and the fact that we saw two of the form young players in Europe so little in this tournament is criminal.

Rice and Phillips was a shocking centre midfield tandem, they wouldn't be no where near the squads of Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium.

They wouldn't get anywhere near the squad of a top contender in the CL in their entire careers, both are so limited and it showed once the 20 mins mark came up after the fake tactical Jorginho injury where they had a mini team talk, the Italians wrestled the game and were on control from them on, was amazing to see just how shocking both Rice and Phillips were, they were both looked heavy legged by the 70 min mark.

Not one of them has 1 minute of CL football under their belt and it showed, worst midfield pairing i have ever seen in my lifetime playing for England, Veratti and Barela were light years ahead of them in technique, passing and controlling the tempo of the match.
I remember Jeff Thomas and Carlton Palmer.

Yeah I've not seen Grealish week in week out, don't really know his all round game. It's just this strolling artist cliche that seems to attach itself to creative players for England, like we couldn't risk Grealish for 90 mins as if he's got the engine of Sigurdsson or something.

I do wonder how much of that is his image rather than his play though? You know? The hairstyle and the socks rolled down are a throwback to another era that perhaps leads us to think he's the next Totti when he's kinda not. I mean of the CL teams in England, could you see him in any of their first choice XI?

I think he could play for any of the top four imo. Think he would be better with better players around him. Into todays game there is so much rotation he could fit into a CL team/squad.

Grealish is so overrated, it's that English hype.

Wasn't long ago he was playing for 4 consecutive seasons in the Championship and no PL team would touch him, Maddison was getting the same plaudits and before that Dele Alli.

Gotta love how the English media hype any English playmaker who can do a step over and elevate them to Totti or Baggio levels.

I don't want Grealish to leave Villa because I think the league is better when teams aside from the select few are entertaining but it would be funny to look back at all these comments when he's got an obscene number of goals and assists playing in a team with Kevin De Bruyne.
