Its to stop the Man Citys ,PSGs and Everton's buying all the best playersIn fairness that looks more a Juve than a UEFA policy. Will never happen.
Juve cannot compete financially and are trying to level the playing field

Love the proposal about not letting CL teams buy from each other! Absolutely shameless

ExactlyYes. And to stop charging Juventus big money for players, so they have a better chance of signing players. Pure secterianism from him. I doubt the rest of football are with him.
I think EU competition law means that won't be given any thought at all.https://amp.theguardian.com/footbal...for-fan-of-tomorrow?__twitter_impression=true

So a player is forced to stay at 1 team or drop down a level, yeah can see that working well. Load of crap
does this mean that they would scrap FFP?
I agree that's exactly what they want. But then I assume they would have to scrap FFP for the CL teams because they will continue to spend what they currently do (just to non CL teams) without being able to sell those high earners. I'm looking at your swap deal, Juve and Barca. No, I think the dream of the people behind this is that it is more or less the same 36 teams each year. FFP helps make that a reality.
My dream is a hybrid league structure.
Domestic leagues are 16ish teams. They play 30 games August-late Jan.
Starting mid-Feb, top 6 or 8 teams get Europe:
Teams that don't get Europe keep the existing domestic table and play another "phase" of the season amongst themselves for relegation.
- Champions League starts mid Feb, groups of 6, you play ten group games and then there are two-legged, single elimination playoffs for all teams (top tier playoff for top two in each group, mid tier for 3-4, consolation for 5-6). 48 teams total.
- Similar structure for Europa League, just a level down.
If the top clubs really make a fuss, maybe you make the European spots a bit stickier (e.g., teams in the top 16 of Champions League get automatic spot for next year, top-four of the mid tier get automatic Champions League Spot, and Europa League winners get automatic Champions League spot, winners of the consolation and Europa League runner-ups get automatic Europa League).
I like the idea of teams actually getting to play a European "season," without jeopardizing domestic play. Also nice to keep some format where qualification for the Champions League is theoretically open to all, even if there's a mass of recurring teams.
I guess the dream for these teams is that the prize money will go up from what it is now, because there will be slightly more games and they will have a bigger product in terms of the additional 4 teams will come from the highest ranked leagues, which tend to have the best supported clubs globally.I agree that's exactly what they want.
