Everton’s worst best 11

John Collins was pretty big at the time and I don't remember him doing much?
I always felt that people got the wrong impression of Collins.

Loads had him down as some silky smooth playmaker probably because he played abroad. He was always a bit of a "solid footballer" type player, one of those who doesn't seem to do much but all the players claim that he is boss.

He did fill in admirably at left back for a while I suppose.

There’s a lot of young posters on this forum with some of the names being banded around. Unsworth in the worst eleven? John Collins? Really!!

Here’s mine since 1983 and I have been a regular every season so this took some doing and I’ll have at least 50 players on the bench

Paul Gerrard
Paul Holmes Carl Tiler Philip Senderos Earl Barrett
Mitch Ward Claus Thomsen Gareth Farrelly Andy Van Der Meyde
John Spencer Brett Angell

If anyone ever saw Claus Thomsen play

People who put Unsworth in their worst 11, have been privileged.
Unsworth was half decent compared to quite a few left backs we’ve had.
Can we include Martina as a right and a left back.

I enjoyed narrowing down 200 crap players into 11. Took me all afternoon.
And you still put Carl Tiler in your team!

There was nothing wrong with Carl Tiler!

Know the most frustrating part? I can't even back up my outrage (which happens often regarding Tiler) as he was a bog average centre back in the 90's there isn't even any videos of him doing anything of note.

Earl Barrett is always a polarizing one, you either love him or hate him.
